^ I enjoyed that you included the pic of Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan in your post, wednesday.
I was pleased with this announcement. I had hoped initially for a film version, but I think a series will be even better. It was a long wait to learn that Disney is finally going forward with this. I have been curious at what point they will pick up his story, thinking very likely right after infant Luke is delivered to his aunt and uncle on Tatooine. But apparently it will pick up 8 years after that (heard that somewhere). I would really like to discover when and how Obi-Wan learns of Anakin's survival and when he first comes to the understanding the Emperor has turned him into mostly a machine. It would seem possible he could know of this before the 8 year mark, in fact, quite early on, because he is still probably in contact with Leia's adopted father, Bail Organa, and if the Emperor has made his and the empire's presence felt fairly quickly after order 66, then I would think Bail would know of the Empire's right hand man, Darth Vader, before 8 years had passed.
Will Darth Vader have a presence in the new series, or even be seen?...it depends for me how I want to interrupt what Darth Vader meant when he said on the Death Star in A New Hope "I haven't felt a presence like this since..." And of course he doesn't finish his sentence but when I first saw New Hope in the context of that movie I thought it was before Luke was born, and after seeing the Revenge of the Sith, I thought it meant when Obi-Wan slashed 3 of his limbs off and left him to burn alive in the lava flames. But if Darth Vader is in this series, will it change to mean a later time? And it can't be an encounter with Obi-Wan on Tatooine because obvioiusly in A New Hope Vader doesn't know that Obi-Wan is hiding there. Aside from that, who wouldn't love to see Darth Vader in this series? It was great having him in Rogue One and also in Rebels. He adds so much! lol.
Speaking of Rebels, Maul could not work in the Obi-Wan series because he dies on Tatooine by Obi-Wans's hand at the end of the Rebels series. Unless they repeat that scene with live action. Hmmm. I wouldn't complain. A flash back? Or the series starts with that event?
I hope the guys talk more Star Wars on their channel but I'm thinking Taj and Prince are not as big of fans as Bigi. I'm thankful for this brief discussion they offered! We shall see...
Thanks for posting the video, wednesday.
