New MJ content (Possibility)

Re: New MJ content?

I don't think it's MJ on rampage. Would love to be wrong but I think it's just a demo vocal by someone else trying to sound like him.

I'm saying it's real.. Compare the "I can feel" to "feels like I" in YRMW. "I can feel" from Rampage is Michael. "feels like I" from YRMW.. The background vocals at least isn't Michael.. You can hear the different accents/pronunciation

Re: New MJ content?

It was interesting at first but now I can see its rubbish. Just tweeting about rumoured songs/features that have been leaked already. Remember beforehand all the legal stuff needs to be sorted and songs need to published by the label as well as the marketing etc. Usually that can be found before a release. There's no evidence of that.

Most of the information that has come from him/her hasn't been shared by anyone else. If they have, then it came after.

Re: New MJ content?

Apart from the 50th Celebration idea the information/songs that was tweeted had already been shared before. QUOTE=Zakk;4319451]Most of the information that has come from him/her hasn't been shared by anyone else. If they have, then it came after.[/QUOTE]

Re: New MJ content?

All they've done is tweet out song names and a fake af looking song list that I could make in 20 mins. It's pretty easy to make up whatever you want and post it on twitter. They haven't actually posted anything that hasn't already previously been talked about.

They were the first to tweet about the Abel feature among various other things.

Re: New MJ content?

Interesting...

"Come Michael Jackson! Recorded 14 new songs from the King of Pop!

Estate has registered new music with ASCAP, the American Association of Composers and Authors.

For almost seven years, Michael Jackson's legacy administrators haven't released an album of unpublished ones - we miss you, OK? The last Xscape , came out in May 2014. And can the wait be over? We found that at least the Estate has registered new music with ASCAP, the American Association of Composers and Authors.

There are 14 unpublished tracks worked by Jackson and collaborators during the pre Dangerous and post Invincible era that can be seen on this link , along with recorded songs from previous albums and [songs by Cascio, which the Estate swore together that will never be released].

The unpublished ones are:
Be Me 4 A Day, Descending Angel, Endt It, I Have This Dream, Kreeton Overture, Man In Black, Promise, Rememeber This Night, Seven Digits, Shut Up And Dance, Splipped Away, Stay, Veredict and You're The One .

Are you painting a new CD? But when will it be? We want to!"

Re: New MJ content?

Thanks. Not sure what to make of this as some are Cascio tracks.. Interesting though.

Songs need to be registered with ASCAP in order to get paid royalties, descending angels is from the Ghosts soundtrack which is intriguing.. Is Ghosts being released too?

Re: New MJ content?

Who knows? Some of the tracks mentioned have no performers though meaning that Michael didn't sing the song.

Re: New MJ content?

Based on that list I don't really get how you see what songs are unreleased or what album they are on... But "You're the one" is the song that was recorded by Jennifer Holyday or something like this ? And from hearing Seven Digits snippers, I always though it became the verses for the song "History" so I always doubt it was ever finished.

Re: New MJ content?

Totally, oh well. Fans should not get excited unless it comes from the estate or we if see info from legit sources.
They had fans going crazy on Twitter, they should really research things before posting...

Re: New MJ content?

This Sunday's Grammy time!

Honestly, I don't expect anything big on that show but maybe they'll mention that one of the biggest entertainers (if not the biggest) that had ever lived had started his solo career 5 decades ago.

“Descending Angels” is an instrumental piece from Ghosts, “Shut Up and Dance” isn’t even half finished, and “Seven Digits” is all scratch vocals. The only title I don’t recognize is “Promise.”

But if it means anything, all of those songs were registered with either the US Copyright Office or BMI; never with ASCAP (as far as I can recall). If they truly WERE registered recently, that’s very interesting.

Re: New MJ content?

I wonder if Remember This Night is from the Pipes of Peace sessions, I would assume.

Just dawned on me that Seven Digits, Man in Black, Stay, and Verdict are all Bryan Loren tracks from the Dangerous era. Maybe there’s a Dangerous 30 type project on the way?

Nope. Loren has just moved most of his prviously registered work with BMI over to ASCAP, too. (For whatever reason "Serious Effect" hasn't moved over to ascap)

Yeah, I just never heard this name in my life except from the J5 song. That's was it even sounds weird to me to hear as another song title. But I get I'll get used to it :)

Here’s hoping for a HIStory package!

Update from MJ Beats.

"Kreeton Overture **
Be Me 4 A Day **
Man In Black **
Descending Angels *
Endt It *
I Have This Dream *
Promise **
Remember This Night *
Seven Digits **
Shut Up And Dance **
Slipped Away *
Stay *
Verdict **
You're The One *

UPDATE:
As we have learned in the last few decades, facts and research are essential for our community and we have been looking for new information.

We found that 6 songs [*] were already registered with the American Association of Composers and Authors but were updated in 2021. [probably they added melodies, vocals, to them].

On the other hand, the new records of new songs are: Shut Up & Dance, 7 Digits, Kreeton Overture, Be Me 4 A Day, Promise, Verdict and Man In Black.

We don't know if a new Michael Jackson album is being made / or coming soon. They are just rumors but ... As that old saying goes: ''Where there is smoke ... there is fire."

We will keep everyone informed. Like always!

* Songs were already registered with ASCAP and were updated in 2021; ** New registrations at ASCAP"

I wonder how far “Verdict” is developed. There’s a note from spring 1991 where MJ wrote that he still needed to do the BG vocals, which makes me wonder if the lead may be finished?

It's certainly possible then, in regards to Shut Up & Dance and the other unfinished tracks greatestartists said their is a bonus mix of two unfinished songs being considered. And concerning Descending Angels, GA also referred to interludes.. Of course I'd prefer Ghosts to be released instead but who can confirm anything? No one, the estate have said they will announce projects when all details are finalised and ready. To think nothing will come of the 50th anniversary this early is kinda jumping the gun huh? I say give it till September...

I'm beginning to think we might be getting an anniversary album. History 25 perhaps?
