*NEW* MADONNA - 4 Minutes To Save The World (ft. Timbaland & Justin) (FULL)

The track is in my opinion not an art of music.. But a very disturbing noise..

I have heard a small part of the new single from Madonna and I did not like it. I thought it was wack. But whatever.

The album cover - I am trying to be nice because I respect the woman. She looks too old to be like that. M-Dolla? LOL. In one of the pics, it looks like her mother posing for the cameras - kind of distrubing. However, the woman looks great.

lol...was that a play on words involving the name of another musical act?

anyway i finally got to hear a snippet of the track on kiis fm.com

and...welll...it's hard to tell from it...i didn't hear enough..

They were slating this song on a uk radio station this morning. Just about everyone that phoned in thought it was terrible, but i missed it so never heard the song yet.

Timbaland did a nice job here, but I can barely hear Madonna or Justin. Good beat, poor vocals so it will be fun in the clubs but isn't actually a quality song.

That's because it is terrible.. There is too much noise going on

wait...are we all sure this isn't just the leaked version that keeps being put up on youtube? or did they actually officially release the song? I doubt that whatever's being put up on youtube is the full version because it ends with "break it down.." like there's gonna be a second part to it or w/e. also the music sounds too crunched together. I don't think it's supposed to sound so badly produced. I know that all of the leaked version of Mike's songs on youtube are completely different from the ones on the actual Thriller 25 album so maybe the same is happening with Madonna's new song.

it's officially released I believe.. Madonna debuted it on Ryan Seacrest's show

ooh ok
it sounds much clearer on the Ellen show clip then on the other clips on youtube.
i personally really like the song

This track is clearly about getting your ass on the dance floor and I see nothing wrong with that. People are taking things far too seriously and as if Madonna could actually please anyone here.

well..you'd be right..MJ fans have high standards....but..hey...that has nothing to do with whether we like the song or not. i can hate a lot of things but if the song makes me dance..i'm gunna dance.

it does what it sets out to do...if you're in a club...ur a$$ is gunna get up to this one.

i don't know how i will feel about it in five weeks after a lot of radio broadcasting, but..for now...my...was movin.

i didn't feel that way earlier cus i didn't hear enough of the song when i heard the snippet on kiis fm

i'm a sucker for brass.

already climbing up the charts - on no.2 in itunes o_o

Yup, the brass always get's me as well. When I heard the song on the Ellen clip, couldn't decide if it was brass or a synthesized (sp?) thing, but it sure made me want to stand up and start moving. I can visualize alot of people getting on the dancefloor when this is played (and cranked up in volume). So basically going strictly on how it affected me when I heard it, and I'm an old geezer, I've got to give it 2 thumbs up.

yeah, it's all about those sassy tunes. and it's definitely a brass section with a hint of synthesis in between.

and i'm a young geezer and giving it 2 thumbs up despite my views on Timbaland, Timberlake and even Madonna. you have to give credit where it is due and i even like Timberlake's cameo!

as anticipated, it is now soaring the charts.

soaring where?

it's not released physically yet and climbed up online charts to Top 10 with

UK: #2
Norway: #1
Denmark: #1
Sweden: #1
Ireland: #6

after a day of release there LOL

OMG, so by the end of the month we will be sick of the heavy rotation... I hate when they do it. Even with the songs that I REALLY like.

Well I'm not impressed. Maybe I like it after hearing it 1000 times on radio then. (I'm from sweden where it's obvious is no1, though I never heard it on radio yet)

I heard most of the song on Philly's Q102 and I mostly hear Justin than Madonna. I almost thought it was a JT song. LOL. I still did not like it. Madonna can do wayyyyy better.

That fake picture of Madonna, Pharrell, JT and Timbaland is distrubing.

4 Minutes
MADONNA and JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE
Producer(s): Madonna, Nate "Danja" Hills, Timothy "Timbaland" Mosley
Label: Warner Bros.

It doesn't take anywhere close to "4 Minutes" to realize that Madonna is poised to score her first top 10 hit since 2005's "Hung Up." The launch single from upcoming "Hard Candy"—her 11th and final studio album for Warner Bros.—co-stars Justin Timberlake, with production props from Timbaland. There's an awful lot going on in the busy dance track: sing-song verses, insistent foghorns, cowbells, chants of "tick-tock" and "Madonna, Madonna," and a rap from Timbaland—but the trade-off chorus between Madge and Justin of "We've only got four minutes to save the world" is hooky enough unto itself to sell the song. "4" qualifies as an event record between superpowers who not only share equal billing, but sound gangbusters together. Expect instantaneous penetration for this spring break '08 anthem. —Chuck Taylor

The Bottom Line
Past experience teaches us all to beware of superstar duets. Too often, big egos and lackluster songwriting sink the best of intentions. However, 4 Minutes, a slick, rhythmic, and brassy collaboration between top stars of different generations, Madonna and Justin Timberlake, delivers. Producer Timbaland lends a trademark musical hand and his own voice to give us 4 minutes and 4 seconds of pop fun.

Pros
Rousing marching band vibe
Yet another great rhythmic track from Timbaland
A superstar duo that delivers

Cons
It's a bit predictable

Written by Madonna, Danja Hills, Timbaland, and Justin Timberlake
Produced by Timbaland, Danja Hills, Justin Timberlake, and Demo Castellon
Released by Warner Bros. April 2008

As Madonna nears the age of 50, it seems that time is a bit of an obsession in her recent music. However, where the ticking clock of Hung Up was to be indicative of time moving slowly, 4 Minutes is concerned about such a short time left. With a working title of "4 Minutes to Save the World," fans and critics alike were teased with the possibility Madonna might be turning to the political for the first time since the ill-fated American Life project. However, it turns out that, while there might be a whiff of dread, this is simply Madonna teaming with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland to move once again to the front of the pack of contemporary pop.
A brassy, marching band vibe combines with now familiar, but still never boring, Timbaland rhythmic tricks that instantly engage the ear. Madonna and Justin trade vocals nimbly before building together into JT's pleading "We've only got 4 minutes to save the world!" Will they do it in the course of a pop song? If any of today's pop stars could save the world, it might as well be these two.
This is the lead single for Madonna's Hard Candy album. It will be released on April 29, 2008. The album includes multiple tracks produced by Timbaland, with assists from Danja Hills, and multiple tracks produced by Pharrell Williams. It will be Madonna's last studio album released under contract with Warner Bros.

From Radio and Records today:

Madonna's '4 Minutes' of Fame

Madonna clocks in with her record-tying 26th CHR/Top 40 chart hit as "4 Minutes," featuring Justin Timberlake, debuts at No. 23. Mariah Carey took the format lead just a few weeks ago with her 26th chart appearance, "Touch My Body," which continues its climb within the top 10 (9-. Madonna's debut is the list's highest arrival since Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man" roared in at No. 21 in June 2006 and its gain (up 2,147 plays) is the chart's best since Eminem's "Just Lose It" improved by 2,740 spins in 2004.
