New ACETATE emerges: This Time Around unreleased official remixes

Sony Music Australia was going to re-release all 7 Thriller singles due to Thriller's 20th Anniversary, which was unfortunately canceled prior to its release by Sony US.

The tracklist of each single were as followed:

Wow! Thanx Bubbles. I dont know where I was then but I know nothing about this. This is something I wish Sony had followed through with. Great info man. Rep added.

So bjoernclausen, ditto on Bubbles question. This is intersting stuff cuz this is different compared to the usual compilations and recycled material we have been given by Sony. I wish MJ would realize how much crap we've been dished out and how much we are hanging for new material or unreleased material. On the flip side, I dont know of any other artist who has had so much unreleased songs/remixes and concerts/rehearsals shared online.

Thanx Bubbles for the info. And good luck bjoernclausen in the purchase of rare and unreleased material. Everyone here should be greatfull for people like you who are willing to share such rare material. I know of ppl who have rare demo such as Bad and BOTDf and MITM but wont share unless you get 2 tracks for $500 with the clause of not sharing online. Ridiculous as it may seem, some MJ fans are unfortunately greedy.

Let us know man how you go in getting any more material. Even if you dont share, Im just interested in what you get.

^I am so pissed about those singles that Sony canceled- I would love to get my hands on the masters. It's so unfair. But I am loving my Japan singles box! At least a couple of those remixes got released on some editions of T25.

And bjoern, I bet you can't wait to get them!

Is the seller the person who also own the masters of cancelled 2003 Australian Thriller single releases?

Not as far as I know, no - I am getting (complete list):

Full remix masterings for the following tracks (which are several CDs per track):

TDCAU, Scream, This Time Around, Who Is It

All the mastering CDs contain at least a few unreleased remixes each, and I know some people will be excited to hear a remix, we've only had the 'edit'-version of so far! :punk:

Also I am getting an Advance Radio Release for Remember The Time, with some cool remixes as well - not sure if they're unreleased though, I'll share anyways, lol! :tease:

- - - - - -

@ some people - the reason some people don't share, is because it will (if you're unlucky) cut the price in half! It makes the items worth a LOT less!

But I just wanna share, 'cus I know a lot of people want to hear these!

Unfortunatly I won't be getting acetates for unreleased songs, only remixes - but I think that's worth something still :better:

The bank transfer has just gone through now, so I am waiting for the tracking number on my CDs! :clapping:

I never thought about that. So true!

I looovvvee remixes and at one point thats all I collected. Great stuff bjoern and thanx again for be generous enough to share. You're a godsend!

^I don't think sharing the tracks makes the acetates or the physical items worth any less. I could be wrong, but I am told the physical items don't go down much in value if you share tracks from them. :) (maybe someone has a bit more insight into this?)

Well, at least I think it makes alot more sense that they are WAY more valuable, if there's unreleased songs on the CDs, than if there's not - even if they are acetates!

:wild::wild:OMG! There are sooooo many unreleased remixes there its overwhelming. Im so excited. Let us know how you go! :clapping::clapping:

So how many acetates are actually out there available for download now? Not just this site, but in general?

bjoern will share them with us but will do so at the Maximum Jackson forums.

What he said :clapping:

Will share This Time Around-mixes on Maximum-Jackson.com, but for the rest of the acetates, I do not know yet. I might do some kind of "Share-one-acetate-for-each-forum"-kinda thing. And there will also be a contest for some few people to hear the remixes before anyone else - will post more info on this later! :timer:

Just recieved the CDs! They're AWESOME, you guys - can't wait to share! But I'm trying to get a hold of a few MJ remix experts in order to make sure they're real before publishing :)

From the list youve already given us they seem real but a further looking into will easily tell. Im sure when Bjorn is ready, will have these mixes soon enough all thanx to Bjorns huge effort in acquiring them.

And from the sound of it they are definitely real official remixes, that's for sure - only question left is whether they're unreleased or just previously released with new labels.
Dangerous Inc. is currently helping me with this determining this - and I apreciate his help a lot :)

Wooops! Seems I apreciate it ALOT! lol
Sorry for the multiple replies, my connection was screwed up for a moment :)

Im happy to help. It appears that there is a possible 11 new This Time Around official remixes that have never been released...until now courtesy of Bjorn.

interesting to see.
ive been a pashioned collector of promo vinyls/CDs etc in the Dangerous and HIStory area.
it was a great puzzle to get together all the versions ...spread over promotional and commercial single CDs, vinyls,
MC-Singles, 7"inches... etc AROUND the world. :)

from my experience some of the dozents of remixes per songs sometimes appear under different names...
...so its likely that some of the name-wise unknown mixes from those lists ..were released under slighlty different names already.
(on promotional or commercial items).

but anyway... i hope some are really totally unreleased.

ps: if anyone ripps them from those ebay CDs... please do it in a nice bit rate.
128 kbps is no good sound! :)

I have checked all the available remixes of TTA from the promo and singles and the remixes Bjorn has have NEVER been released. You have not heard these remixes.

I did a little research on the remixes. The ones previously released are marked with a star (*):

CD1
"This Time Around" Remixes
1. David Mitson Clean Radio Edit 4'22
2. Maurices Club Around Remix 8'24*
3. The Timeland Dub 7'10*
4. Maurices Hip Hop Experience 4'13
5. The Dons Control This Remix 4'42*
6. Bang Da Drums Mix 6'30*
CD2
1. Control The Deep Groove Remix 10'21
2. Alternate Deep House Mix 14'03
3. Mad Club Mix 9'57*
4. Bang Da Drums Hard Mix 9'46
5. Bang Da Drums Alternate Mix 6'11
CD3
1. David Morales Radio Remix 3'50
2. UBQ’s Opera Vibe Remix 7'03*
3. Uno Clios 12'' Mastermix 8’47*
4. Alternate Control Dub 4'10
5. Neverland Dub Aftermath 7'30*
6. Timeland Dub Aftermath 7'06
CD4
1. The Don’s Out Of Control Dub 8'51
2. No Way Out Dub 10’59
3. UBQ Alternate Opera Anthem 10'28
4. Uno Clio 12'' Thunder Mix 12'10

So 8/21 mixes have been previously released - my source is MJ Remixed. Not all mixes on the acetate has the name they ended up with, so it's not 100% - but there's definitely some, I have never heard of in this tracklist.

1. David Mitson Clean Radio Edit 4'22
6. Timeland Dub Aftermath 7'06

these two were released too on the US 11trk promo CD and the US 9trk promo 2x12".

best track on all the promos is the instrumental of the original song imo.
rest is just good for collecting. :D

You know I really gotta commend you for doing this. This is what fanship is about - sharing the love. It takes a lot of guts to do this (i mean you drop $500 and then share it with everyone) and I gotta really applaud that. While I still believe that the files being online wont depreciate the actual discs themselves THAT much (only in the sense that its no longer "never before heard material") to do this for all of us is reallly kind. so thank you!

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's not really an "effort" I'm doing - apart from the money, there's not really anything to it, but the ripping of the CDs, and the managing track names and such. And even though I dropped waaaaaay beyond 500$ (those were only for the This Time Around-discs), I still really love sharing the music. That's what I wanted to do, when I bought them. 'Cus I know that there's people who will apreciate the music on the discs waaaaaaay more than me - I bought them strictly for collecting reasons, really.

All in all I gave 2700$ for all of the CDs together! That is a LOT of money! But it totally made my collection become somewhat perfect! :D I think there's 16 or 17 CDs in total...
