Moderators have already decided this thread is ok so thank you for your opinion you can move to a thread that interests you now.

Lets make this clear Michael's current health will not be discussed in this thread.

It is common knowledge that back in the day Michael became addicted to pain killers after an injury and it is also in the past not current. This is something that is done and over with. If the song is meant about himself or others in the state of the world I don't personally know. It is an interesting song.

The song is so powerfull. Because it's so personal, about fighting, about temptations, about a dark place that lures. You can feel the temptation in the song. It sucks you in, it embraces you and lets you realise how dangerous that temptation is. That's quite something to achieve with a song!

okay i have to get to the bottom of this song! i mean i really love it but a lot of the lines i dont understand! i understand the song as a whole but when i take it line by line im like ????? so who wants to take this trip with me and go line by line corrolating verse to verse and lets figure it out!!!!

^^^Most of those lyrics are incorrect.

Morphine is about far more than Michael. His experience was a starting point, but the entire song is about far more than him.

Look into the Elephant Man, listen to the samples and check out the sounds underneath the music.
