Usually the decease does pay for their own funeral and burial arrangement. It is usually done by the person's life insurance. The average family cannot pay $10,000 for a funeral, that is consider the low end.

So, Michael paying for his own funeral is not usual. Most rich people end up paying out of their own pocket for their funeral so not to burden their family.

MJ and Janet swapped dance moves and song phrases all the time. Like Rythym Nation, MJ let Janet borrow some of the choreography he was preparing for Captain EO.
I mean is the phrase and melody in itself patented or copyrighted?
I guess these execs don't understand the meaning of a family bond. I know MJ would not be happy about this.

SHE DIDN'T WANT TO BE REIMBURSED! She's a wealthy woman!! Why would she need it back if she paid that amount from her pocket???

She's credited as co-writer and producer so technically she owns rights to the song as well. It's under Epic but if she wants to she can put it on her GH album. It's her tracks just as much as it's MJ's. And MJ doesn't own any of her songs.
 
I guess every other family can have their wealthy deceased pay for their funeral, that is except the Jacksons!

I don't see why people are treating Michael Jackson as a product and not a person.

Janet is his baby sister. They shared a lot of things in life, a few words from a song is nothing to get ruffled feathers about.

Of everyone in that family, Janet never once used Michael as a "commodity". She build her career with her own talents and never used Michael's position to help herself. So to say that Janet saw him as a commodity is just wrong, plain and simple.

I also find the comments rather two-face about Janet. On one hand you if Janet talk not long after Michael's death like his other siblings, you would had called her a media whore and just wanted to promote herself. She waits almost 5 weeks after his death to do a major interview and it is suddenly, she should had spoke up sooner and she is promoting herself. I do suggest you make up your minds. You cannot have it both ways.

As for the intervention stories, Janet never gave a date when these actually happen. She also never said that Michael cut them off or he was in denial. When asked she only said that "I wish he was here to tell you himself" and maybe he was in partial denial.

Also, she could had meant that there was time where she was worried about Michael and thought he maybe on something. Michael did have the habit of cutting himself from the world, have to reminded to eat, and tended not to sleep. This sounds like someone who may had a drug problem, so Janet checked on him. That is pretty much what an intervention is, despite popular belief. She may of had added the the entire family to save face.

We do not know, but Janet is not the type who would lie for the sake of family. They maybe some truth to her statement, but we may never know.

Wow :( If she had released a CD next year or the year after there would still be questions about her brother. I see Janet doesn't get a break from some people here.

Do you know Janet personally? No.
Do you know the Jackson family personally? No.

The only person in denial are MJ's fans PERIOD you obviously never encountered someone with a drug problem before. It's not easy to sway them into thinking what they're doing is wrong.

As long as you steer clear of this poster's anti-jackson family posts, you'll be fine. I just find myself constantly defending the family against this someone who is in the dark as much as everyone else here.

Channel all that negative energy into something positive. Play with a child, volunteer at a shelter, save an animal. Anything but the hate mongering. Damn!
