MJ Forever Tribute/ MJJC Statement / Estate statement / Fan letter pg51/ GLE put on administration

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

So, does anyone have any idea how many tickets have been sold yet??

Kinda pointless to do this when im sure the audience will mainly consist of Leona Lewis and Christina Aguilera fans

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Reading the nameless tribute FB page the ticket upgrade and refund system looks complicated...it seems to be losing even initial supporters:

FB Query: so my q went un answered why do we have to pay for our tickets twice? you set the initial prices, changed them offered upgrades as recompense, but will keep the initial payment making the purchaser rebook and pay again before you will refund the first payment,What a total mess! If you cant organise this event efficiently then perhaps get someone in who can! I have now lost all faith in this tribute and i was one of the supporters who defended the organisers from the onset when numerous people where putting you down! We dont all have massive amounts of money in the bank to pay again

The personn who asked this question, should ask to Taj or another Jackson$ for the answer.

Twitter!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

True.but whos actually a big name. theres only neyo and christina that i would class as biggish stars

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Interesting how it has moved from the greatest concert ever conceived to the best thing to happen in the Autumn of 2011.

LOL!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I just saw a short video on the GL FB page of Ne-yo rehearsing! Singing "Lady in my life", "You are not alone" and "Billie jean!" So does this mean that the estate appoved that they can use MJ songs?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

As long as they don't try to sell the concert; pay-par-view or DVD, they can sing Michael's songs. Also, the estate would look bad if they step in and looks like they are trying to ruin the concert. I think it is wiser for them to let this tribute die of its own failures so the Jacksons can't blame the estate.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Lets not flatter ourselves here. It's not only mj fans who could buy tickets.also the number of active mj fans on these board is really insignificant -we were never their only target market. The fact these tickets aren't selling is because nobody is interested.

The mere fact they centered their concert on Michael, and thought it profitable to targeted his fans for conferences demonstrate that we are a significant part of their buying public. So Yes I will flatter myself and many Michael fans will too. Otherwise they would merely have a concert with these artists and forget about Michael. They put his name in to draw an audience--Michael's audience. People are not buying because the Michael fans and estate made a stink about it. If what you say is true, then the other artists fans would run to buy tickets, irrespective of MJ fans and estate sending out negative information about it. So I will conclude that we, Michael fans were always their target, to exploit the name of Michael for money.

I thought it don't matter who wrote what since it's part of his MiJac Catalog and now his Estate.

But, I thought it was gonna be shown on pay-per-view? It won't? Is it gonna air for free or not all all? I doubt that they won't try to sell this some how like on DVD for more profit later if indeed this concert goes forward!?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Sorry but, i'm not buying this reason for a second! MJ estate surpassed Elvis in making money and anybody else that has been dead long before him in just two yrs. The concert tickets seats are less then the millions the estate made. Think about it! Plus, people in the music industry know damn well how the Jacksons are and was to Michael don't think people aren't paying attention! How can people lose interest in Michael when every other performer out there copies him and people know it! All the history making MJ achieved will never be forgotten! Can't believe anyone would think that just because he died! And franky I'm sick and tired of people making Elvis and the Beatles as the only ones that can possibly ever have an amazing following in in death!

I don't know about pay-per-view, but they can't do it without permission from the estate.

Think of it this way; imagine you song a bunch of Michael Jacksons at your house and you decided to put on a show for your friends and family. If you ask for donations for the time and effort you put into it, it you be consider acceptable. If you pocket some money, it maybe a gray area but companies don't tend to go after people like this.

On the other hand, if you record everything and then sell it, you can get into trouble. It's the different in burning CDs for your friends vs. burning CDs to sell at your local store. We already know the Jacksons can cover Michael songs without trouble given Jermaine sang Scream, Thriller, Beat It, and Man and the Mirror in several of his own concerts.

Stop it! You are hurting the family of Michael, his mother, his children.
You are missing the reason.
These boycotts hurt you Michael. It gives the impression that their own fans are selling it.
Just as Michael was told that was not supported in their own country. Now will be told that it is not supported by his own fans.
Put in mind that the family is our extension.
"The family of Michael is the extent of it."

Are you for real? an extension of what? we were always fans of Michael Jackson and not even death will change that.

MariAndMichael;3481470 said:
Were against but not boycott and protests have not offensive. That's what I'm saying. That's respect.
Disagreeing is one thing. Aggression is another.
If there really was something wrong with the tribute he would have been canceled.

You don't see anything wrong with the tribute, but janet, Jermaine and Randy obviously do, so why are'nt you griping about them as well?

Just stop it.

THE CHILDREN ARE BEING USED.

He cares about the fact that children have a bad impression of the fans so why not stop creating conflicts.

They are the ones causing all this conflict. Tell them to clean their own house first before trying to clean others.

September 13th, 2011 Michael Forever Release Katherine Jackson Statement

Michael Forever have released the following from Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine:
“This is a one-off event which will truly celebrate Michael’s life. The love and support from his talented friends and everyone involved has been overwhelming. I’m so grateful to everyone and can’t wait to see the unique and special performances on the 8th October in Wales. It is the biggest show this Autumn and is exactly what Michael would have wanted.” – Katherine Jackson
Michael Forever

Oh, they brought Katherine out again to sound off about this fabulous tribute! lol

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I feel so sad about this fiasco now. Cannot believe fans are being blamed for poor ticket sales.

Actually I am glad we are being blamed for poor ticket sales. This will let the know that if they want us to accept something, they have to give us quality and respect michael's estate and legacy. I am glad also because I want the concert to be cancelled. This will not be the only Tribute Michael will have. It needs to be cancelled because it is a dishonor to him.

I say let them blame fans for poor ticket sales, because other potential promoters who seek to exploit our love of Miachael by giving us a stash of trashy merchandise will take heed and be more careful. They are a lot of people waiting in the wings to use Michael to make a quick buck. Does the name Johnson, Mann come to mind? Not to mention some family members.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I too, am glad we are the reason behind that humongous failure.

WE should all proudly take credit. I am. Not only did I campaign hard to get it cancelled, but I am still working hard to make sure it doesn't see the light of day.

This Money Forever Tribute will go down of the Jack$on$ biggest failure...Aside from getting on MJ's bad side to the point where he wrote them off his will.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Oh I see Hunt went back to the original story that the money is for the children now. Let's see, first it was for the children, then it was for Katherine, now back to the children.

Tickets are not selling hence his desperate appearance on facebook. Who makes a concert and have to do all these things to get people interested? Keep begging Hunt.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Baloney. Michael is as big as ever. Bigger. People will go to any Michael Jackson show but it has to be one that's done right. That Cirque show is major. MJ is the king of pop. Even his biggest haters admit that.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Man, some of those Jacksons REALLY know how to be vocal, when it effects their "bottomline." LOL!

Seriously, where was Taj when folks were out there abusing the name of his uncle?

From the very beginning, when it was announced that Michael had died, there was Brian Oxman running his mouth withnot one shred of evidence to back up all of the nonsense he was spewing. Then came Deepak, Leonard Rowe, Arnold Klein, Arnold's side-kick, The Rabbi, and so on and so forth. ALL of those folks came and went, but all we heard were CRICKETS from Mr. Taj Jackson.

Now all of a sudden, there is a chance for 3T to get some shine and Taj is all over it. LOL!

I would be able to muster some respect for him had he been vocal when it REALLY counted. NOT when it suits a possible return to the stage. Which just like his Uncle Jermaine, he apparently wants very, VERY badly. Not on my dime homeboy. Sorry![/QUOT]

you for got Oxman ...lol

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

In explaining the Jamie Foxx addition, Chris Hunt said:

(EDITED: To reflect exactly what Hunt said.)

"Just about every comedian has made jokes about Michael Jackson at one time or another and Jamie Foxx is not exception."

Can you believe that he would use those words in his attempt to defend the hiring of Jamie Foxx. Unbelievable!

Is chris hunt for real???!!!!!!! no chris not every comedian has made fun of mj just the ones who are cruel & ignorant like jamie foxx!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Hunt does not know about Michel that is why he does not know the comedian that Michael liked. Hey Hunt what about Christmas?

Guys if this thing is cancelled, I am going to give Gary a big pledge. I don't know where the coming is coming from, but I have to find it!!! Then when Muarry goes bye bye, I will celebrate, and not that cheap wine, Don Perignon all the way baby!!!!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

It's not that fans don't want a tribute for Michael. We do but it has to be right for Michael and for the right reasons. Nothing about this feels right. I hope the cirque shows do well and I hope someday there will be a tribute where the best will be there for Michael and people who loved him and supported him for real. The estate shouldn't do anything until these people do something illegal. Otherwise let them deal with this themselves as they wanted to in the first place. And as for the kids and Katherine well I just saw in another thread the estate is setting the trust up for them for 30 million dollars. This is just the beginning for these kids and they owe it to their father for his good sense to put other people in charge of his estate that know what they are doing.

Thr kids may like hanging with latoya cause they think shes great.does that mean we should all love toya? all it means is the kids are clueless as to what toya has said.ie clueless about the concert causee they are being used.and been told only what those with agendas want them to know.

•Over the top name calling of Jackson family members. We understand there are a lot of issues with the Jackson family, concerning their actions. We are not saying you cannot criticise and question this, but please do it in a way that doesn't resort to excessive blatant disrepect or nasty name calling.

•Constant derailing of threads about certain family members. If a thread is about say, Janet on a magazine cover, please keep it to that topic. There is no need to take that thread back to what Janet said/did who knows when. Who is Craig David?

I think he's the one who did Human Nature at Michael's Memorial and song it when he was on X Factor. He actually did an okay rendition in my opinion. Not enough for me to fly across ocean to see, however.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

So nobody knows him in fact. He's an old singer ? Never heard his name.

He must be good for a X factor show so.

No, he's fairly young. He didn't look no more than in his late 20s or mild 30s back in 2009. I think people in the UK knows him and some would know him from the public memorial.

But, he's nowhere near a worldwide figure.
