MJ Forever Tribute/ MJJC Statement / Estate statement / Fan letter pg51/ GLE put on administration

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

i think he likes being called blanket, you might be waiting a long time. Whats the alternative, Prince? Michael?

I know, just like he doesn't cut his hair cuz Michael wanted it to be long.. But I just can't imagine a crisis teenager time, Blanket around 17-18-19 still being called Blanket... If he ever goes to public school.. the teacher won't be calling him Blanket, that's not the name on the student list for sure

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

I think Blanket will hold his name. It comes from his father. I don`t think he will ever change it.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

Is anybody having the time to check if there are any other links between family members and GL / J-T ?

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

so this is shining time for randy and jermain .smh
both of them have very selective memory ,for jermain -video of his mother supporting his tribute.
for randy-promising kids will be their for their fathers 1st death anniversary at forest lawn.
so when they use kids and mama for their gain ,it is no big deal.
and as some one said rebbie and janet are dangerous,,but janet follows randy so he is also included and now as we know 3t which are included in this fiasco are close to mj3,remember when taj came on twitter stating that he didn't know they interviewed the kids,i guess i doubt that now.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

I don't get the ''Rebbie and Janet are dangerous''... at all...

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

... So basically their target audience is casual fans in and around Cardiff, so 75,000 looks pretty difficult.

Agreed. I said Wales was a weird choice from the beginning.

The weather in Wales during October is not the best,

The local population is small compared to London, so fewer (potential) local ticket sales.

It's more difficult for international visitors to get to Wales than London, so will deter them.

Now it seems (as was suspected for a while) that they can't even muster (m)any global megastars to the show, which isn't going to help matters. With the line up they currently have they are only really going to appeal to a UK audience, but they have put the show in a bad place for visitors from within the UK to travel to. London would have been easier for the vast majority of UK visitors and foreign visitors.

If they couldn't get a London venue until next year they should have waited.
If they couldn't get a venue at a time with the prospect of better weather they should have waited.
If they couldn't line up huge artists in time, they should have waited.
If they couldn't find a PROFESSIONAL promoter (not some fly by night rookie) with their best interest at heart they should have waited.

75,000 ticket sales is going to be difficult to achieve...

More FB PR...This one just made me laugh! :)

FBQ If you don't get a ticket, is there a reserve list you can put your name on for people who don't want their ticket??

about an hour ago via Facebook Mobile ·LikeUnlike · .

Michael Forever Tribute Hi Lauren, if not everyone who is successful in the first ballot takes up their option to purchase tickets then anyone who was unsuccessful first time around will be balloted again for the remaining tickets. Good luck & kind regards, Nancy.

 This is hilarious.. so, if those who are *(*(*chosen*)*)* to buy their tickets don't buy them, those who were not chosen will still have their "chance", they'll probably choose them from the charity donation anyway...

So if like...2000 people registered... and 1800 changed their mind after the Kiss ''unfortunate'' thing.., they'll have a very intimate concert :coffee:

EVERYONE who registered will be sent an email to buy their tickets... and will probably be told that they love them so much that instead of the place they choose, they are giving them a better place in the front for only 20$ more! How great :wtf:

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

With all the negative developments on the event, I can't imagine the event can draw more than 75,000 people to register. Serious fans are turned off. Casual fans would not spend so much to travel to Cardiff. Can the local people fill up a stadium?

I still think the event will be cancelled due to poor demand. They may make up some excuses to save face when they annouce the cancellation.

You couldn't make it up!

^^^^ Great post. Global's lack of experience as well as arrogance shines through with this thing.

They are especially lacking in knowledge of MJ fans. We don't just jump for anything slapped together in the name of MJ. They must have been buried under the same rock that had them ignorant of Gene Simmons comments when the "Michael" album came out and the resulting backlash. They know nothing about MJ fans.

OR they'd realize we don't rally for Katherine and while we will for the children, we're in protective mode when it comes to them. We do NOT want them exploited under any circumstances and certainly don't want to contribute to that exploitation.

The one good thing about this mess is that they are getting a wake up call. A LOUD wake up call. MJ fans are not mindless sheep who can be taken for granted.

Actually, it's kind of fun knowing that Global is getting their butts kicked with all this controversy and their tribute is not getting the reaction they expected at all. Actually, that part gives me a :)

I was digging around because I read somewhere that Chris Hunt had met Michael in 2003 - I can't remember where I read it. Anyway I found this and was drawn to the director of The Michael Jackson Story, this programme featured many of the Jacksons. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1465515/

Does anybody think the mj estate will do an official mj tribute at some point? Or has this farce destroyed the chances of that happening? Imagine a tribute from the estate with global artists and previously unseen mj footage!

I hope they will, but lots of tributes took place around the world in different cities without it being worldwidely promoted, and some were just perfect.

If the Estate does something, it'll maybe be at 5th anniversary of his death, or when they'll have more time, cause now with all the family barking at anything, the trial, all the people (even fans) trying to use MJ's image for no matter what, they are very busy. I don,t think the numerous Jacksons tentative to put on a 'tribute' will stop anybody if they want to make one. They know the A-artists are probably waiting for them to do an official tribute to sign in.

And if they don't, well, it would have been the Cirque du Soleil.

i dont see why not. they said they would when jermaine was doing his mess. but i doubt it will happen until probate is over. how ever much we want to see a real tribute theres more important issues to deal with first. and im sure branca and co will get some enjoyment in showing the fools how a real tribute is done with the biggest stars in the world

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

I hope someday we get a real tribute. I can't believe how sneaky the Jacksons are in this mess and other things. They act all innocent and say the right things but the truth is their involved. They let others to take the blame for the failures. I can see why a lot of people don't want to work with the family. You can't trust them. It's always about money and that isn't love.

I think they will but it will be like Princess Diana's like 5-10 years down the road with MJ's kids running it.

That's how I see it too.

That is the only right way to do it should such a tribute take place.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

Anyone want to give it a try, to come up with the likely excuse when this is canceled? Cough, cough? Rampant "flu-like symptoms" among those (few) who have agreed to perform? Cough, sniff, cough. . . :puke:

I agree.

I was thinking if the Estate decided to do a Tribute now, Katherine Jackson would be on their tail, because she would want this one involved and that one to be able to do this and another family member to be able to do that. She would also "probably" want the Estate to pick the tab for flying and housing every Jackson family member known to man. LOL!

The estate starting with the Cirque du Soliel show was a good start. They didn't need any input from the family.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

?don't think it's a good idea to rush the estate to put out a real tribute. I believe Princess Diana's is like 10 years later with her kids organizing it. Currently, there are too many things for the estate to deal with and the J family are not helping at all. Lots of the issues are caused directly from the J family. BTW, the Immortal tour is also kind like a tribute already. I think we should wait longer maybe 8 more years when his kids grow up. I hope one day they can see through these shady family and work with the estate to put out a great tribute to MJ.

if and when this is cancelled , they'll say that "we listened to the fans and decided to postpone this till after the trial" or something like that. I'll call it a B.S.

Re: MJJC Official Statement about Michael Forever Tribute / Tribute discussion / Estate statement @p

one thing I was just thinking...maybe they are afraid that Katherine wont last until the kids grow up...hadn't thought of that..but still ..if that is how they feel then they should still atleast wait until after the trial.
