MJ Forever Tribute/ MJJC Statement / Estate statement / Fan letter pg51/ GLE put on administration

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

They had to give away a large portion of tickets. so the real question is how many of the so-called 40 000 were actually sold?

I think the real question is GL's bottom line. After everything they have done and said how much did they earn and was it all worth it in the end? Lets hope the answer is not much and no.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, re: their bottomline.

I'm guessing that they were really counting on the revenue garnered from a LIVE BROADCAST. I remember when this fiasco was first announced, Global Live was talking about booking arenas around the world to show the so-called tribute. Then they said movie theaters. Then it was Facebook. Now it's none of the above. That has to sting financially.

How in the heck are they going to pay their investors back, the performers, and the guy who put up the lights.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

yep :) I so called it :)

Yup. You did.

I really hope the numerous Jacksons associated with this event return to L.A. soon, and sit their behinds down on chairs in the COURTROOM?

If I was an investor, a performer or the guy who puts up the lights, I'd get a hold of Hunt's passport.

Not even Hunt could really believe he could put on a Michael Jackson show ANYWHERE for a worldwide audience and not get certain approvals. Rghts approval was one of the very first questions fans had. He must be planning to skip town or something with the cash they did make. That's the only thing that makes sense. Or is he really that dumb?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

wonder if latoya will have to sell that new shiny car of hers now?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I am little confused but do they have to ask Sony too and the estate for permission?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I know one should'nt wish ill for anyone but I so do wish there's a big ass lawsuit at the end of this fiasco...just so a lesson maybe learned from this sloppy, disorganised 'tribute'

Oh, and btw, if they indeed had to resort to giving away tickets, if I were a fan who purchased my ticket I would want every cent back!....fair is fair.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

This is the biggest farce ever. Michael never deserved this and it makes me so angry.

I agree with big apple, i can't see how globalive are going to make any money out of this.

I just assumed that with the cinema showings, facebook streaming and the few tv channels showing it, that globalive had got the permission from the estate. But apparently they hadn't and they now have to withdraw all the broadcasts (in fact i don't think they've 'fessed up to the facebook cancellation, people have had to find out on their own). I didn't think i could be surprised any more by their sheer stupiditiy, but then they go ahead and surprise me some more.

The ticket prices have been more than halved, a third of the seats have been cordoned off, £hundreds of thousands have been spent on tv and newspaper ads (x factor ad must have cost £100K), tons of man hours for PR aka damage control, performance fees to attract talent to this shambles, and absolutely no other sources of revenue in broadcasting. Theyre going to be bankrupt -whatever business plan they may have had, has well and truely been destroyed. Hope it's a lesson.

Maybe they're hoping to sell lots of t-shirts and that nice jackson perfume.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Wonder how long before we see the first lawsuits filed

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Someone said it's been cancelled. I don't want to get people excited. Is this true?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Doubt it .its after midnight in the uk. they wouldnt be anouncing anything now

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

^^ I thought that aswell, it's such a farse.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

How can this not be an obvious flop when the black eyed peas is no longer performing and the FB stream is now no more. Ouch! They have better learned thier lesson but....I doubt it.

This was a very important day in the Murray trial. Too bad they weren't THERE, in support of Michael?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Don't worry everybody, I'll be all over soon!!!!

In 2 days time, It'll be all forgotten!!!!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

An MJ posthumous tribute that's been messed up beyond belief? Surely not!?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

You would think with the fb stream of the concert being no more that they would just canel the whole show altogther!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

Well, since this crap was not canceled... already I'm preparing my popcorn to watch this fiasco >>>

The real tribute at this time is the Cirque show!

Yes! A worthy tribute to a King.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

And did I read right, that the brothers hope this becomes an annual thing? WOW, they need a grip on reality. I hope Latoya's company goes from Ja-Tail to Ja-Fail, announce brankrupcy and can no longer come up with schemes damaging to Michael's legacy.

funny how GLE marketed this "one and only" tribute and how the brothers would probably not perform together ever again?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

So glad this is finally over tomorrow. I'm tired of hearing about it.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

So will there be anywhere to watch this thing or no?

What's even bizarre is that they wanna do this in an obscure country. No offence to the citizen of Wales.

But I'll tell you what, these Jacksons don't have money and are jobless. so they are left writing junk MJ books and selling stories about MJ3 to tabloids and even pimping out those kids.

That's pretty much what their lives have become.

You're probably right on this one!

What is really sad is that there might be some percentage of the general public who'll be ready to believe that the tribute concert goers really represent average MJ fans. But of course the reactions of the people at the concert won't be the same if it's true that a lot of the tickets were just given away to non fans.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I guess the bros wanna do it each year as that will become their annual income.

And wales is not an obscure country.its hardly san marino for eg. is scotland and england obscure?

From a sheer musical and entertainment perspective, it is. It's hardly known for that sort of thing.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I have a hard time finding this to be a good thing or any joy in the fact that it doesn't seem to ge as good as some might have hoped. It's about Michael and when it's about Michael I always want it to be good, big and a succes so I have a hard time finding any joy in the way it's going...
