YES dangerous, i think it's worth it!!! don't take disinterest to heart....some people are busy, some people don't feel confident enough to take part, some people prefer to judge.

Look at Michaels AWESOME creative achievements, but he too has had his share of criticisms and challenges!

Enough of us are excited about this to make it work, I would love to help out with editing as i said but not sure what i can do with dialup/short trips to town to use wireless?? Let me know if i can do anything that doesn't involve heaps of down/up loading.

Dangerous the videos i uploaded to youtube are ones which i don't think worked out on the disc (i put a X next to those on the discs). Could be my computer though & theyre fine.

The only thing that I am concerned about is TIME.

I am not gonna be able to make it by August 29th. But realistically speaking, I can't make it before October 29th. Cause there are 45 videos left. And I have 4 exams in the next 30 days to prepare... :(

So I can't handle it all alone, that's why I am still waiting for the editors to arrive out of nowhere lol ;)

Summer....I live out in the country, no cars or helicopters, nice & peaceful, but when i got all set up & ready to go for the videoing, kids asleep, i pushed the 'record' button and.....it started HAILING! & real heavy rain, with me under a tin roof lol! had to sit & wait, couldn't even hear the music!

wow Dangerous you are busy! please let me know if can do anything. ok to download things up to 40, maybe 50 MB.

That's mostly my problem too....I would LOVE to do more for the project and submit more footage for the clips, etc. etc. but I've just been working like crazy...and now I'll have vacation, which means...I'll have access to internet, but not access to my own computer, which means...now that I'd have TIME, I won't be able to work on any footage because I won't have my computer with the software I need. It's like Catch-22. :doh: And September is pretty much dedicated to work, work, work....I'll be working my butt off in September. I'll basically "live" at the hospital all September with my crazy work schedule. So I don't know how much time/energy/inspiration/motivation I will have left for other things after work...We'll see.

How do you compress AVI files to a smaller file????? Is there an easy way to do it???

I found more tapes that I can upload... Youtube will not upload because they are too big!

And Darvon, here is a program that you can hopefully use - Auto Gordian. Try to download it and it should work, my friend uses that one. ;)

I should probably do it too lol, I use an awful program...

This is nice that so many people take part in video project, but where are you going to send it? Just by mail (it's not quite clear now where it has to be sent) or you already know where and at which fan event/meeting you are going to give it to him?

I am planning to put the videos on 5 dvds, 10 videos per dvd and pack it really neatly. How and where I am going to send it, I am yet to look over the options, but I am hoping that he will receive it somehow...

Darvon....this was my problem. Each song/video i did was 1gb. In moviemaker you can select one video, then click on File then Save Movie File then it gives heaps of options, the one I used got them to 20-40MB. you can look thru the options. does that make sense? this size enabled me to upload in 20-30min each, with no obvious reduced quality.

I am NOT an expert, just figured this out last week, but it seems to have worked so far.
