Miscellaneous Michael J. Jackson - MMJJ

I find correct what a young Algerian actress -that has Vitiligo- when she spoke about dealing with this skin disease, she appreciates MJ, but does not view him as a role model for openly dealing with the disease and displaying it publicly, and accepting himself.
She should just shut up.. MJ wasn’t living in the 2010’s nor 2020‘s. Now everyone can do/display/portrait almost anything, even if it’s atrocious or random and be celebrated for it..
In the 80s & 90s things were a little bit different.
MJ preferred to deal with it his way & nobody should judge. especially when nobody isn’t even trying to put him-/herself in the same shoes/time/space as MJ was in.

Aside from Michael and a few random people I'd seen in Dallas who had vitiligo, this was the first public case I knew of that got any kind of mass attention...

MJ could've been the first though. I absolutely understand why he dealt with it how he did but he could've done a lot for people by being open and proud of it.

Can you spot the mistake on the back of the Bucharest 1992 DVD?

The first one, MJ didn't fulfill his potential.

He could had done alot better than what he achieved in his career. Madonna worked hard to innovate herself as an artist, not MJ.

Maybe the fact that he started early a professional career with his brother, made him satisfied by what he achieved so he wasn't determined/ concerned by a "management" of his potential to give more.
A lot of ignorant (Jackson's favorite term ironically enough, unless this is not correct,at all?)people seem to be lurking both in the fandom and in this forum it seems, judging by the reactions your post has received,by far..
Not that it would mean anything, but I truly agree with what you have stated here..and so would your average, somewhat objective and/or rational person, truth be told.

Smooth Criminal photo is from the HIStory tour. And it's flipped, too. That's actually two mistakes in my book.
Plus no point of adding a photo of the HIStory teaser.

Not the kind of thing I normally pay attention to but ... 69 shows? 3.5 million fans? The biggest tour in history? Breaking his own record from BWT? Wasn't BWT 123 shows and 4.4 million fans?

Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong but ... I'm confused!

Yeah, I saw that but I was more bothered by the statement about the tours. Plus I'm used to seeing photos flipped (it happens a lot with gold leotard photos). I don't like it but it doesn't really faze me anymore.

I'm still confused by the DWT statement, I still think it's incorrect.

PR and marketing is not my trade! :ROFLMAO:

It's not just the photo that's flipped. That's a picture taken from the HIStory Tour

The second one, MJ used his father's mockery as an excuse to "overdone" the plastic surgeries.

I don't think was the only from his brother / sisters to be abused by Josef, or mocked for his nose (I guess Latoya was too).. but only MJ used it as trauma to start the plastic surgeries. Of course everyone has his own experience and feeling toward what he faced. And of course it could caused a trauma to MJ.. but he overused the fact of the abuse to discover more the plastic surgeries.

At least MJ gave Joe credit for what he learned as a professional in a speech in 2002, after years of using him as an excuse.

IMO An MJ/Prince duet should have been a one off single that didn't appear on either of their albums. And instead of them doing an original song, they should have covered a song by an artist they both love. Best way for them to make something together without ego getting in the way

I know fans love the live adlibs at the end of this performance (I do too) but the editing on this video is terrible. It can't stay focused on one shot for more than 10 seconds.

Can anyone tell me about this? Here's a news article mentioning MJ "supposed" chin surgery before Captain EO:-

He had chin surgery after Captain Eo, not before. That was still the chin he was born with. I can't believe they said he had surgery to make his chin "less pointed"... Like, when did Michael ever have a pointy chin?

I have a question. Did no one notice his nose job for Off The Wall era. The earliest mention of his surgeries I see are from the Thriller era.
