Michael with vitiligo on Victory Tour 84

It is so sad!!! Even when he turned white he was still loved!!! Poor guy had to go through so much!!! He is in heaven with God now not suffering!!! He will always live on!!!

I hate it that so many people choose to be ignorant and believe what the tabloids claim to be true.
And so less people know that he always says that he is proud to be a black american.

I'm sorry for my baby that he has to go through that stuff.

You can see it quite clearly in this pic. Poor Mike

I read Taraborelli's book a while back and he still claims that Michael's skin is lighter due to skin bleaching creams. For all the research he did, why did he miss out on highlighting this as a condition Michael did have?

It sucks that he went through so much!! He was one of the nicest people in the world!! People are so ignorant about his skin color... it's like people believe he wanted to change his skin color.. he didn't and he couldn't help it with his vitiligo.. it came from Joe's genes!!!

Some people want to talk about it. There's no harm in discussing it.

Poor thing.
Michael, you were so strong.

I can't imagine how he felt when people accused him of being ashamed of his color. There was nothing he could do and some people still don't believe him. :(

My mother has a patch of Vitiligo on her arm, but you can hardly tell since we're a Caucasian family.
Vitiligo isn't painful (at least not physically) because all it does is attack skin pigmentation, which turns it white and blotchy. It's sad that it happened to Michael especially since he was black, as well as the fact that since it was happening, everyone would know.

I think the reason that people don't believe it was a legitimate condition is because he had his makeup artists do such a good job in evening it out, so it was like a grayscale-type transformation, which is a completely unrealistic way for Vitiligo to spread. He tried so hard to look flawless, and yet it just lead him to pain.

EDIT: I also wish people would STOP making threads like this, just to show that he had vitiligo. Yes, he did, we know he did. The reason we're here is because we're fans and we love him for who he was and is. I know Michael had an account on here, it's been discussed frequently, and I bet he'd cringe at the sight of these threads. The mere point of these vitiligo threads is to point out the flaws that he was so desperately trying to hide. We know he had it, I know he had it. I don't need any convincing, and anyone that's on this website shouldn't either.

I swear, he said that Michael's vitiligo was caused by skin bleaching...
