There's so much debate in here and everybody's trying to make their point. Which is understandable.

But so many people have their doubts, they can't be ALL wrong. Most of us grew up listening to Michael's music since we were born.

I understand that the last official song we have by Michael is "One More Chance" in 2003 and that his voice may have matured since then, but on the "This Is It" movie his voice was the same flawless high pitched voice we grew up listening to.

All this situation seems pretty dodgy to me. So much debate by the fans, his family twitting about some of the songs being fake... I don't know what or who to believe anymore.

I hope they don't destroy this man's legacy for money. I wish it's actually him singing. I want to believe it but my guts have other opinion.

Whatever the case, we people need to stick together. Fighting and cursing one another just because we have different opinions won't solve the problems.

It's not that you are non believers, it's that a lot of you are "shouting" your opinion to the believers. There has been name calling & general nastiness all around. Not everyone is going to agree around here, but the way that you deal with differing opinions is important.Whatever the difference, respect should be shown at all times.

What has been going on here the past few days is heartbreaking, even worse the the chance that there are fake tracks.
 
i don't know what to think about keep your head up. It's a nice song, but again I'm not sure it's his voice. And like other people here I'm not feeling his passion. Could it be one of the concequences of the emotionally draining trial?

Same here. Not forgot it, that's not the best word, because either way, I think BN is an insult to Mike, but Keep your head up has kind of given back my faith in this album. I may be buying it after all as now it's only two tracks that are a bit suspect (BN and Monster), but the third Cascio track is not only real but also a great, beautiful song IMO. It will also be a big hit on the radio, IMO. At least where I live.
 
We all respect Michael and HIS music...We will not support music from an other artist presented as Michael Jackson...If it's what you're thinking of your community opinion, then I'm ashamed to be on a forum where we can't all speak together with respect...

'Keep Your Head Up' is great, and I have no doubt that it is MJ singing on it :)

Michael Jackson Song -- Akon Came Back to Finish

It's Harvey ... I've just heard Michael Jackson's first single, "Hold My Hand" -- not the one that leaked a few years ago, but the one Sony is about to release. First of all, it's great -- slower than a lot of MJ's songs.

Our sources say Akon recently came back to the studio to lay down more vocals and really put the finishing touches on it. It sounds more produced than the "Breaking News" song that was put online this week.

It's a classic, Akon-type song and it seems like Michael takes on Akon's style. His voice fluctuates like Akon's and there's a similar tonal quality.

As for "Breaking News," I just heard the finished version. It's more produced than the one Sony put online and sounds more classic MJ.

This is going to be a huge album.

Didnt like "breaking news" track....or the leaked "hold my hand" from a few years ago.
I whish they would focus on outtakes from Bad/Dangerous/History sessions instead.
Loved "streetwalker" and "fly away" from Bad_Se more than anything else.....and "cheater" from box set.
"Another day" could be good though.
 
Listening to Keep your head up and some of the snippets of other songs on the new album I think now it will be a good album. I still have my problems with Breaking News and Monster as I think they are not on MJ level and yes, there's the controversy too. However those seem like the two weakest tracks on the album. There are only stronger than them, so it will be a good album after all, I think.

I think much of the negative feelings towards the project came from the fact that BN was released as the promo single. A song that is controversial and on top of that weak, VERY unfinished, then overproduced copy & paste job. And it triggered a controversy.

Was it a mistake from Sony to use that song as a promo or was it a clever PR move?

I think I personally would have minded that song less if it had been just a filler on the album, never released as a single or a promo song. Either Sony are very stupid to use this song as the promo, or they are very clever (publicity). Time (sales) will tell.
 
Hilarious all this... amazing to me, (a fan who has STUDIED my subject for over 20 years - MJ's life and music) how people can convince themselves of anything, and also fascinating how they can't distinguish what is real and what is fake.

I am leaning towards a concrete belief that the 'FAKE' MJ vocals are copies of actual MJ tracks, part hype, part piracy protection. I fully expect this album to contain no fakes, it's impossible to sell an impersonator to the public.
 
Has there been anything from 3T , Cory Rooney etc at all today? A statement..anything? I mean, surely Cory has his opinion about Keep your head up?

I saw your message about how Keep your head up restores your faith in the album. But i gotta ask why? I mean, there were gonna be a few 'new' MJ songs on this album anyway, next to the 'fake ' ones, and no doubt they were gonna be good. But as awesome as Keep your head up sounds, it should not change your overall view on the album. Well...if it does, ok...but i wouldn't understand that.

Personally..no matter how good the other unreleased tracks on the cd are, Sony won't be receiving my money. That's one thing that is for sure. All this controversy , all this uncertainty...nah, i'm done with it.

I personally loooove BN , just love it. So if that is supposedly a weak track I just can't imagine how amazing this album is going to be. HUGE like Harvey mentioned. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY:D:D:D:D
 
RESPECT I just went and listened to Keep Your Head UP and OMG!!! I have tears in my eyes - it is absolutely divine, I mean divine. His voice is incredible. It is a mix of Keep the Faith, Earth Song and Will You be there, Man in the Mirror in that vain. Gospel like. You know he always loved those kinds of songs, well this is AMAZING!!!

I'm telling you everybody, if you are seriously thinking of not buying this album you are crazy, I mean crazy. This is sooooo huge.

I am trembling, that's how emotional I am. His vocals are out of this world.

Respect77 I can totally understand why you are reconsidering your decision. You are so right. Wow!:wild::wild:
 
From the tracks that I have heard so far, it looks like the estate and Sony are very much honoring Michael's legacy. He always liked to have different types of music genres in his albums, especially a rock song, gospel, mid-tempo, ballad, dance. And well, we have so far a rock song in Another Day, a gospel tinged song in Keep your Head UP, a mid-tempo - HMH, a ballad in The Way You Love me. BN is a dance one. I don't know about the rest, but it is looking really great, just wonderful! :yes:

I swear I have intentionally tried not to bother going through all the threads just to avoid all the arguing and negativity. How did we as a fan base come to this? it was not too long ago everybody was so excited about this project and now its like chaos I can understand the doubts and confusion, to each his own, but as for me, I'm getting this album. If it actually contains 100% seven songs by MJ from the entire 10, I'm still good.

This album is going forward and to those wanting to boycott it, all that will happen is diminshed sales and the media is so waiting to say Michael Jackson flopped once again! Doubt or no doubt, I won't be giving them that opportunity!
 
i think the cascio songs will sound more like mj on the album, does any1 know when u can pre order it on itunes.

i like keeping your head up, had it on repat for ages.

after mjs death we would pay anything to hear new music, so we need be be gratful tht we are getting anything tbh
