Sony Release New Version Of Breaking News

Sony Music have released a new version of the new song by Michael Jackson entitled “Breaking News”.
The new version clearly shows Michael Jackson on backing vocals only, the lead vocal is still performed by an unknown recording artist similar to Jason Malachi.

Not an ounce more of MJ in the current stream. Cleared my system cache and everything.

Guys, all this confusion and analysis is designed to warp your ears! The more your listen to the track, the closer you get to accepting it...

Don't compromise by accepting the 50/50 lie or anything of the sort. TRUST ME. When we hear the real, non-Cascio new tracks, I guarantee you the difference will be night and day!

Yes, I am saving EVERYTHING. I have a recording of the original mix. I also saved this alleged new mix. I don't hear a difference.

Please keep in mind the player is designed to alter the bit-rate (quality) based on bandwidth while playing. That's why sometimes it sounds really clear and other times it sounds not so clear.
 
Some things I need to get off my chest.

Regarding some posters here who think we the fans are ruining the Legacy....Go f*ck off. Breaking News is NOT a Michael Jackson track. It has some of his ad libs...the main portion of the song...the jelly as Quincy would call it, is NOT MICHAEL JACKSON! I listened to the acapella version and as soon as the vocals started going off, I was 120 percent certain that was not Michael.

Hopefully today, Sony decides to get rid of the Cascio tracks. I mentioned last night they should get in contact with Rodney Jerkins and see if he can contribute anything this late in the game. If they have to go into the archives and add something from way back, so be it, as long as it sounds good and not very dated. (aka a disco track)

I think to combat with this nightmare, Sony needs to pull the track off MJnet ASAP and get Hold My Hand out there NOW! Show us a track that has legit MJ vocals on it. Why not just move forward and release the 1st single now?
 
Darn ... I LOVE this track ... just listened to it again now that it has been put up again.

I cannot believe you do not hear Michael's voice ... and his voice seems clearer now.

Anyway if it is taken off the album I will be SO disappointed.

Just a thought, Imagine if this is a big PR stunt.

How? Why?

Maybe Sony does think that these are real vocals, but maybe they are unsure as well.
With the Casico's having 10 or so songs, there is enough material for an entire Album or atleast an EP of these sessions. Could Sony have planned this to get a reaction only to pull the songs from the "Michael" album and release a separate album/ep next year featuring only the Casico tracks? Maybe title the album "Controversy" or something like that? Free press and hype.

The selling point could be something like "It is known that MJ recorded in 2007 with the Casico's but then songs came into question during promotion for the Album "Michael", now here are the songs, you be the judge."

I dunno, but I wouldn't doubt it.
 
I think this is a Michael voice ;p and i don't understand why You dont hear him in this song....
 
^^^Doubtfull. Teddy Riley was quoted as saying the follow up album to "Michael" will probably be a duet album.

But then again, things can change. Guess we'll find out

well the singer on Breaking News clearly isn't singing it like he means it.
 
Sony should put all the songs of the album where there are any doubts if it is really MJ singing.

SONY could release a CD called The not finished MJ rehearsals and release them on there. Cause BN is a Very good track, but if it is not 100 % MJ vocals it should NOT be on a MJ solo album like Michael.

MJ made so many great songs, but only recorded few parts of the song - so if sony gets Jason Malachi to finish the song so we get to hear MJ's vision with the song, even though it's only 50 % MJ vocals I would love to hear it.

Imagine how many great songs MJ made but didn't finish. I would love to hear those, even if they are put togehter with another persons vocals - I JUST WANNA KNOW - AND I WANNA KNOW FROM SONY.

If they make it clear - songs where not finished so we had to add some vocals to make the song as MJ wrote it, then fine. But if SONY (like BN) says it's all MJ and really it isn't - then I'm not intrested. That's fraud.

I love Breaking News and hear it all the time, if an entire album could be made with songs that good, then fine by me. SONY should just be honest and say it's not entirely MJ.
 
It's only going on 11 AM in New York. Still early here in the states. Probably won't hear nothing till mid afternoon

The things that have happened that he mentioned, the people applauding him have all been part of as well.... -_-

Because some people in this fandom do not have an objective view regarding anything being released by Sony or the estate and will simply jump onto a bandwagon of criticism when they don't have any or all of the facts.

Just like the TINI campaign of a year ago. Just like with people posting "Boycott Michael" banners in their posts and on their sites. They DON'T KNOW what is on that album, yet are telling people to boycott it. The proceeds from that album go to Michael's CHILDREN and to CHARITY. THAT type of action tarnishes Michael's legacy.
