Yeah I understand you know. But Michael made over 100 songs that haven't been released. So I don't think he only made 10-20 songs which is complete and not just a demo.. :)

I'm not under-estimating their popularity. I know how popular they are over here.

But the fact is, Take That's album will have been out for a whole month by the time Michael's is released.
If Take That stop MJ's album from going to number one that will mean that they'll have spent five weeks at the top of the UK album chart, which is pretty unlikely if you ask me.

Why the aggressive tone?

Yeah, I've heard full BN. NOT. What I'm saying is that you haven't heard all other unreleased tracks either. And my point was that instead of getting cheesy HMH, we could've gotten a track just as good as BN or even better.

Yes, I am thinking a bit selfish, because I don't really care that much for the general listener. I care about the fans. If you ask a fan "would you like a complete unheard amazing MJ track, or do you want a OK song that is "radio friendly" (ugh, hate that word), leaked on the internet already (demo, but idc), I think the answer would be amazing unheard track.

I remember even before HMH with MJ leaked (there was a solo version first) Rolling Stone described it as a future worldwide hit.

IMO "Hold My Hand" has exactly what "Don't Walk Away" or "You Are My Life" are missing - a simple, easily memorable melody, that anyone could hum. Lyrics aren't that complicated either, so it has international appeal.


Mike: This life dont last forever (hold my hand)

Really, have you even heard the song?

It's very melodic. Not the best song Michael ever recorded but sure one of the better ballads of the last 16 years.

Have to agree, it's not the best of his ballads but more of a chance of a number one considering it will be near Christmas! I like hmh, but i'm sure there will be better songs on the album.

It's okay. I'm not the most mature guy anyway.

Did I acutally judge BN? I don't think so. If I did, then I didn't mea that.
I did judge HMH though. The melody won't change, the fact that Akon is in it won't change. A bit more MJ vocals saves it.

It's just that we are getting a MJ single, which is the first single in many years, that is already leaked on the internet 2 years ago. Like I said, it's the same song, same melody, I bet it's the same lyrics. This is just my opinion and if I express myself as premature, then I'll work on that.

so.... forgetting the *confusion* ... i think we can be happy. Things will be huge and Michael will be everywhere again. And about having 2 songs out near each other means that we'll have 2 Michael's number one at the same time, one viral track and one official single.... It's a nice strategy and we'll have a perfect Christmas song in time. Good job.

Has it been confirmed if hmh will have a physical release? I'd love to be able to go to hmv & actually have a physical cd single of Michael again! Imagine if they would have a picture disc vinyl!

Honestly, that is very negative way of thinking. It's not a bad song. At all. It has a very catchy melody, a groovy mid-tempo beat and lyrics that can get stuck in your head for days, similar to songs like 'The Girl Is Mine' and 'You Rock My World'. With more MJ vocals and cleaned up/updated production it is, quite simply, a sure hit. It's a very smart move.

And really, people need to stop bagging on Sony. It's old news. MJ's troubles with Sony were very real 7-8 years ago, but things change. Businesses change. And from the way MJ's musical legacy has been handled so far, it definitely seems they are determined to make any projects carrying his name a success worthy of The Man. I'm impressed with how they're handling the promotion of the new album so far, and this is just the beginning.

The whole $ony = The Devil thing just doesn't fly anymore, ok? It's old news and it's starting to sound like a broken record. Just stop it.
