Michael Prince & Brad Buxer - Secret Project (Confirmed MJ related - Post #155)

Do you think maybe we are getting a ONE soundtrack album with maybe 3 new songs. I'm hoping for a new full album but I wouldn't be surprised. They maybe useing a few new songs in the shows.

They will not release a ONE soundtrack album because it is a local US-show (not woldwide) and they won't do 2 same old-stuff-remixed albums I'm 100% sure.

Also, we never thought of it before, but some time ago a solo version of "We Are The World" was released, which means Michael always made a solo versions of such kind songs.

Do you mean the WATW demo from TUC ?? - Or has a new version leaked??

The solo version would only have guide vocals from what I know, it was never WMCIG a solo MJ record; a different song was solo.

As far as I know, WMCIG was recorded for INVINCIBLE and was completed fully by Michael. The source is the Black and White magazine back in 1998.

After the 2001 attacks he used the same track for the all star recording. Also this completed MJ only version was used to guide the singers.

So yes, a solo version of this beautiful version exists!

Can't wait to hear it eventually.

I believe that was suppose to be "I Have This Dream" or "Children's Holiday", some one of that, don't remember the exact song name. But it wasn't WMCIG in 1999.

They only quote him on this clip and don't actually show him saying it, but I remember when this announcement happened. I was so excited to hear this new song (WMCIG) and then MJ & Friends happened and he didn't perform any new song. Maybe it was cos Invincible was pushed back from the original 1999 release date and he didn't want to play any new music yet, I don't know. But anyway, WMCIG was indeed originally supposed to be unveiled in 1999.

Oh ok dude. Didn't know that, thanks. :)

So is the Beatles Love but that had a soundtrack released.

In 1999 Michael was supposed to perform Ekam Satyam (The One truth) as far as I'm aware. But a solo Michael version does exist. Even if it is solely guide vocals, Michael's guide vocals are still very complete. Look at the demos for The Girl is Mine and The Way You Love Me - extremely complete.

Why are we discussing if there's an MJ solo version of WMCIG? We have a video of him recording it, and a part where it's played to Beyoncé, pluss, he obviously recorded it to see how it sounded.

^^ I agree Of course he recorded a solo version . How would the singers know how it was suppose to sound if he didn't.

He recorded it obviously but with different lyrics then the one that was released..

The lyrics were very similar. I assumed WMCIG solo would be included on the next release as a bonus track, but the fact that little "teases" relating to WMCIG keep coming up makes me wonder if for the next album, WMCIG could be the lead single... Which I personally think is a very bad marketing idea, because nearly every Michael Jackson fan has heard this song. If it was released, it would do terribly.

The Bad 25 single was a great idea. An old song re-released with a new demo. If WMCIG was released with People Of The World, or Children's Holiday, or (please) the Hollywood Tonight Demo, I would buy it immediately. Although the latter is almost definitely not going to occur, POTW or Children's Holiday are possible. Or maybe... This?

1. What More Can I Give
2. Children's Holiday
3. People of the World

:clapping:

I thought it would have been a brilliant idea to give What More Can I Give a big-time release for the Sandy Hook shootings back in December. I would love to hear the solo version of WMCIG.

I agree, and unfortunately it's likely there'll be another terrible event soon which will be equally deserving of a charity single.

Not his best work?

I totally do NOT agree! It is one of his finest musical pieces.
No way. Listen to People Of The World and Children's Holiday, they are at least 2 levels above WMCIG in terms of everything
WMGIC is a nice song, don't get me wrong, but I feel it lacks originality and it's IMO just not that good. It seems like it was kind of rushed

It would be GREAT to hear MJ's SOLO version of this song!!

Can't really imagine MJ singing this, don't know why. Would love to hear his version of course, but WMCIG and People of the world seems better!

I agree that the all star version sounds rushed.

But imagine the version which was planned on the INVINCIBLE release, MJ only!

And POTW sounds awesome too, but much more Disney like which WMCIG is not.

These types of songs are just passe now.

Nobody's interested in making them, nobody's interested in listening to them. WMCIG is about 25 years too late.

I have absolutely no objections to it being included somehow, somewhere. I would very much like to hear Michael's solo version.

I'm simply saying for it to be some sort of big single release then it'll just confirm to many that Michael Jackson made sappy naive 'world-conscious' records. The UK market would laugh it off the airwaves - IF it got any radio play at all. They're barking up the wrong tree with this.

Agreed. Same would happen in the USA. Only singles that would recieve AirPlay here would be hot dance tracks. We seen what hold my hand did nothing same with one more chance. Dance tracks please estate! I personally will listen to anything MJ the rest of the world im not to sure about that.

That guy is Fabio Mordà, he's a MJ impersonator here in Italy ;)
