My sentiments exactly! there are some things that are being mentioned about some family members now that no one in the media would've given a thought to mentioning prior to June 25th! It is clear to me that some have been using the after spotlight since MJ's passing for their own benefit and I find it disgusting!

As long as the kids are left of out these appearances and ventures, I could careless what the family does. But I have to say that I do find it sad that Katherine has to make these type of appearances. These appearances just come across as desperate.

It is desperate, especially considering the fact that Katherine is no 'real' celebrity.

I don't think they're bad mouthing Katherine, it's just so shocking how she has acted since MJ's death. It's very very sad that his mother whom he trusted and thought was 'perfection' has done a lot of questionable things since his death. Maybe she's devastated but she's just not acting like a grieving mother to me. According to some, right after MJ died, Katherine was the first one to start asking about the money in the house. If true what does that show you?
 
I don't see anything wrong with this.

She can go see her son and do a NYE countdown if she wants, what's the problem?

actually alot of the same things she is doing now she has been doin before he died(entering shady businees deals etc.) we are just paying more attention cause mj is no longer here. the same thing goes for everyone else. N how is she not acting like she is grieving???? is she suppose to be walking around crying all the time??? you dont spend day to day with her so how do you know she isnt grieving???

i agree. on one hand they complain that she only uses mj, but then she decides to do something with another son and its still no good???? i swear some will never be satisfied, thats why you cant worry about people.

I wonder if HOWARD MANN will set up a "signing" table for Katherine so that she can continue TRYING to sell her coffee table book. I mean, no sense attending an event if you can't also find a way to push that book.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was HOWARD MANN who called up TMZ with the news regarding Katherine's "appearance." It appears as if he has Harvey Levin on speed dial, in my opinion.

Tito jackson is the one performing not katherine jackson if tito invited his mother there, there is nothing wrong with that katherine always went to her children concert/shows to support them, why would she stop now just because the media is more interested in her and the jackson family, katherine was there at the victory tour concert, janet concert, michael concert, tito reality show, the BMI award show with her sons when the jacksons recieved there BMI award in 2008 (legend) and she will support tito at is concert with a audience of 50,000 people according to tito on is twitter page.

You guys, this thread is about a New Years Eve countdown with Tito. It is NOT about all of the stuff Katherine has said about MJ or about business delas not related to this. People have taken this small article and taken it a place that is way off topic.

I get the anger at what some family members have done, but what is not allowed is taking this into every single thread about a family member even when it is not appropriate to do so. How many times do we have to ask people to stop doing this?

I like Tito. He seems genuine and doesn't crave the spotlight. He does his own thing with his band. I watched that Dynasty show last year and you could see that. The way he talked about Michael made me feel sad for him. He misses him and he knew Michael would have knocked people's socks off with the concerts. I remember him saying he didn't understand why this happened and none of us do too. I haven't agreed with all of Katherine's decisions but this doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the way TMZ write things at times.

Tito has had his own little thing going on for a while & has done some shows with his band in arenas around the world. Katherine has been to watch her son before, we've seen it in the press & on that Jackson family show.

The site doesn't even say Katherine is doing the countdown.. it says she's there ringing in the New Year with a host of Jackson family members. It says the mayor is doing the countdown with Tito..

Even if she was & she's being paid, so what? It's better than selling belts with the 'autographs' of Michael's children. Lots of people in the public eye are paid to attend things.. be careful calling her desperate, even Michael has been paid millions just to be a guest at a couple of birthday parties.
It's better than her getting $ from something taking advantage of Michael or Michael's children.

Uhm, Katherine has never been a celebrity/public person now has she? she is the mother to public personalitites, but not one herself. Thats why some who are alluding to her possibly being paid are making the comments they have been.

I agree. More attention is just given to what she does now. Katherine wrote a book on the family years ago, and on youtube, you find all kinds of appearances she made in the past. Everything she does just has a heightened awareness factor these days.
