16 Michael Jackson: The Experience (Wii) Ubisoft 4 215,664 717,713
It's ranked 16th this week, selling 200k copies in the Americas and 700k total. How is it that it sells more than the album? :-|

This one is worldwide.

Because somehow the Boycotters have affected the sales of the Album (i didnt personally think there were enough of them)... But Sony havent lost any money, its pocket money to them because the Company is worth so much

Re: Sales of MJ: The Experience

It sold over a million in a month? That's good. I wish I could get it but I don't have wii etc.

Is there a chart for the vision dvd?

Re: Sales of MJ: The Experience

VGcharts does not have official charts. They only run on estimates.

That said, 1 million is pretty awesome.

Re: Sales of MJ: The Experience

Well it says the "Americas" so that's all the countries in North America and South America combined? If that's the case then it sold less than the album.

It's USA and canada.Just like the box office numbers is for us and canada.
US usually makes up 5/6 of the sales figures.Though some latin american countries are heavy on games, figures are not tracked there because of grey/black market and high level of piracy cos it would give false positive estimates

The figures are actually estimates. They are from Game shops, amazon and big stores/retailers that sell video games.FIgures are tracked weekly.

I feel the game is gonna do better than the album in the states.

perhaps we could write to sony (or whoever) and insist on another Micheal Jackson experience with: Jam, Dangerous, Human Nature among the songs and dances.
esp Dangerous.

You Rock My World, Blood on the Dance Floor also

I love this game!!! I just wish there were levels (Easy, Medium, Expert) to every song. And I wish expert got as close to the actual choreography as possible. My awesome Smooth Criminal skillz actually mess me up because the game choreography is so damn slow and simple.

Actually now that I think of it, has anyone else noticed that the commerical 'version' is different than the one you may have? Mine looks different from the commercial. For instance, in Billie Jean commercial, the girl doing it is walking down stairs (I think) and the floors being lit up. In my game, its slightly different. Hes just standing still in one place ; hes not moving anywhere.

So this game has sold 1.1 million copies globally on Wii alone. That's awesome! Just imagine come February and it's launched on PS3 and XBOX 360. More people have those gaming systems so sales will go much higher.

That bit is just part of the advert using real-life actors/dancers. It's not gameplay footage.

I love the game! I find Remember The Time the most difficult one to get a decent score, I can never get higher than one star. The hardest one is supposed to be Thriller with the Inhuman difficulty but that's the song in which I have my highest score. :)

^My highest in the 'inhuman' Thriller too :D It's one of the two songs that I've achieved 5 stars in!

Yeah, Smooth Criminal is easier than I thought it would be....Thriller too...Both are so much fun!

Does anyone else find In The Closet and Remember The Time really difficult? Everytime I think I did a move perfectly in those songs, all I get is an 'ok'. They are the only two songs so far that I have failed to achieve higher than one star in.

I didn't do very well in pretty much every song when I first got it (shameful really, with me being a dancer!) but I've found that you just need to get used to adjusting the way you hold/move the remote.
That's the only bad thing about the game. Some moves, you're doing perfectly and looks great dancewise but the Wii can't pick up on that and gives a measly "ok" or an "X".

I've been playing it for an hour pretty much every day for a week now and it really does show that practice makes perfect. At the moment, I've got the highest score as 4 stars in everything and 5 stars in Thriller, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, In The Closet and Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough :D

I'm going to be completely honest here. I just sold this game. My mum bought it me for Christmas and I played it once, tbh me and the game just clashed.

I've been studying Michael's moves and dance routines like a madman for years and years and they are COMPLETELY different in this game.......so I naturally go to do a move the original way and i'm told im doing it wrong......or I go to do part of the routine the original way and i'm told i'm doing it wrong.

I'm not criticizing the game, i'm sure its tons of fun for a lot of you and it has sold a lot, but its just not for me....I hope you all enjoy it though :)

some of the moves, he doesn't even do in the video so yea I'm a little disappointed in that but otherwise, its a good game.

1,635,444 now (worldwide).

Sales figures for last week in USA still unavailable. The game was not released in Japan (!!!!)
