2009 TMZ says MJ owned 331 million, next they added 69 million, and the following year they added nice round number 100 million
Seemingly millions means nothing to TMZ, they have to go for hundreds of millions.
I believe nobody really knows the real amount, except the estate executors, so heavens knows where TMZ pulled out those numbers.

- The $500 million debt rumor was never true. There are no documents supporting it because it was never more than something made up. Won't say by who right now.
- Michael Jackson did not owe Colony they paid him. They made two payments. 1 to MJ for making the deal all his profit. They also paid the remaining mortgage. For that money they would be repaid if both parties agreed to sell the property.
As for the 38 million owed to AEG. Indeed that was a tragic result of Michael's passing. The amount was for production cost and due because the shows did not take place. Jackson was like a billion dollar enterprise. He had a large payroll and expenses like a company. Certainly when he died suddenly, a lot of employees had to be paid and expenses taken care of. Only one of Michael's BIG haters like TMZ would take expenses that came from him dying and add it to sensational stories of "debt" (400 million). Now Why would TMZ add 100 million from their previous article? That is perhaps the saddest part. Because It's Michael Jackson they feel they can get away with it. For anybody else their lies would be called out.
