That would be a record. - But no way it will happen.
 
The record is 2.42 Million, held by *NSync (No Strings Attached), just so you all know ;)

I'm going to say between 550,000 and 700,000 :)

How much have other artists recently sold? Like Kanye & Taylor's new album? Have those done good?

My guess for Michael first week worldwide sales would be 700,000.

Am I the only one in here that used a comma in the number?

kanye sold over 500,000 the first week in the us and taylor swift sold over 1 million the first week

Kanye didnt sell over 500,000 copies he sold almost 500,000.

Does anyone know predicted Japanese sales for 1st week? or any others?

I believe

UK is 150,000
US is 400,000

Just interested to know about the biggest markets.

My thought, based on album sales in 2009: 1/3 of sales were in the US, 2/3 of sales were Rest World. This would mean 1,200,000 WW sales, as i expect 400,000 for US.
But as the US are strong first week buyers & in my opinion other countries not so much (especially my home country germany is sleepy), i'll have to be a little more 'cautious'..

851,000 global sales is my guess - so the 2 of us will have the direct comparison.

What i also wanted to say: I've not forgotten how You we're treated by some people, leading up to this moment! Many things been told which was not right! I for myself enjoy everyone of your posts, since back in July!
Everytime i see that you've posted, it's interesting to see what you've to say!
I wanted to state that, because everyone is going on here, like nothing has happend in "the case of sc05". You were right with your timeframe & most of your info. I think your credible source & i'm looking forward to more info from you in the future!

Approximately 1 million first week worldwide.

So if 400, 000 in US.

150, 000 in UK.

450, 000 in other markets... Japan would be huge...I'm sure.
 
US: 400,000
Canada: 50,000
UK: 140,000
Japan: 120,000
Other: 140,000

TOTAL: 850,000


Sony have shipped 900,000 in the US, 100,000 in Canada, and 3,500,000 in other global markets. So total amount shipped altogether is 4,500,000. If more are needed, they will ship more.

I have mixfeelings... but I know whatever happens, people will only talk about MJ, not about Cascios, no producers, nothing else....

2,42 in the US ONLY.. lol it was in 2000-2002 I think when the market was the biggest.
 
786,893 ww 1st week only -but will be a top album in many charts/awards/sales for the year or next year.
