Michael booed?

Made up crap. He was never booed. They kept saying he was booed at the WMA's but it was complete rubbish.

nope ,he wasnt booed there ....and he wasnt booed @ the wmas , he was loved ,
magical night ..

He was booed on the red carpet of the WMAs in 2006. There was BBC News fotage where the booing was clearly audible.

But that's just red carpet junkies. They're pathetic. They think that if they choose to spend 9 hours standing behind a barrier next to a red carpet, every celebrity owes them something. When I was younger I did it at a few film premieres and the people had really bad attitudes. If one person didn't stop to sign for them, they cussed them out so bad and its like, there's hundreds or thousands of people here, they can't sign for every single one.

MJ was booed at the Family Honours because he didn't perform.

Where's the sense in denying it? The whole thing was filmed.

Watch the footage. Elizabeth clearly - and angrily - tells the crowd not to boo because it is an 'ugly sound'.

I figured that was the press and photographers trying to get a reaction out of him. But I wouldn't think the fans would do it.

I don't know about the family honours, but apparently that whole thing was a fiasco. And I can totally understand MJ not wanting to perform.
But he was never booed off stage in 2006, that was rubbish made up by the media! There are even videos that prove this.

This is total CRAP yet again. What the confusion was at THE WMAS , was that Michaels fans where out in 1000,s , all you could hear was Michael , Michael,! there was stamping of the feet to his music, and all you could hear over , and over again was Michael, even when Beyonce started the show off with an amazing performance with dance steps by lavelle smith! Ghosts *routine* fans where still shouting we want Michael! To think that in anyway he was not loved and cherished beyond what even i have ever heard ! Sorry!! but you would have to be 2 things 1. Deaf 2. STUPID! I even felt sorry for the other artists who where performing, and actually it was them that the fans where booing off ! Rhianna made her debut singing on stage and i really did feel sorry for her, she was practically crying. It was not WMAS it was MJJ AWARDS!! lol. The night completley belonged to a certain MR MICHAEL JOSEPH JACKSON! and make no mistake of it.

I was there , and to consider it was the last time the public would even hear him sing Live , even for a few mins ! Its something now i do cherish!

It was the dweebs along the red carpet who booed MJ at the WMAs because they didn't get autographs.

MJ wasn't booed inside the venue at all. At least not that I heard, and I was there.

He wasn't booed off stage at the WMAs like the media said. Watch it on youtube all you'll hear is screaming because they love him.

I thought we were talkin about WMA2006! But ur right, i saw that and I was very embarrassed how the fans acted. it was very childish. They made it look like they were at his concert which he refused to sing. Thats the one part I forward when Watching the Family Honors...

anyways...No he wasnt Booed @ the WMA's, The "Booo" was for Rhianna, who actually performed before "We are the world" was played... its just a stupid thing that they made up and they know EXACTLY that it did NOT Happen!!! what can you do, Tabloids have no ends...

Agreed. He categorically was not booed offstage at the WMAs. I was right next to the stage and he left to a deafening positive reaction.

The articles are about the Family Honors not the 2006 WMA's.

People are comparing it to the time the tabloids said he was booed of stage at the WMA's in 2006. You have to read the whole thread.

We have amateur footage of the WMA's were no editing could be done and there were no boo's at all.

If Michael was going to perform, he would have been advertised as doing so. If he wasnt advertised, why would you expect him to be performing?

Who wouldnt boo if you were told he wasnt performing though? It wouldnt be a boooo! Michael is a rip off, weve been ripped off! It would be more of a, awww im dissapointed he isnt performing kind of boo.

you only have to look ast the footage of the wma,s in lindon, and look at the mass histeria he started, booed no way

Michael actually was advertised as performing. On the WMA website there was a list of performers and presenters. Michael was listed as a performer.

The WMA spokesman fuelled the fire by saying that Michael was 'planning something special for his fans'.

Raymone also repeatedly failed to deny that MJ was performing, even though the rumour was circulating for well over a week before the ceremony. That left many people, including fans, under the assumption that he was going to perform.

Member of the choir were interviewed after the ceremony. They said they'd been picked a week before the ceremony and told they would be performing with Michael Jackson. So that WATW performance definitely wasn't put together at the last minute. It was a pre-planned performance.

Im talking about The Jackson family honours. Thats what the entrie thread is about.

Here's the footage:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1TBrIcFDL0

They start booing at around 9m20s when liz says MJ won't be performing.
I just heard the 'booing'. You gotta be kidding right? It sounds exactly to me as Lisa D. Campbell said in her book (the link to the page she says it in which I posted on page one of this thread, but here it is again -- http://books.google.com/books?id=n1S...itzman&f=false)

'Taylor told the crowd "I know you'd like to hear Michael sing, but he doesn't have any music prepared." Learning Michael would not be performing, the crowd began to call out in disappointment "Oh! Oh!" which Taylor thought was booing, which she admonished "Don't boo, it's an ugly sound." The crowd was clearly disappointed, but they did not boo Michael Jackson. The supposed booing was widely reported in the press before the show was broadcast no doubt costing the show many potential viewers, who decided to stick to watching the Olympics instead. Fans that attended the show strongly stressed the fact that they never booed Michael.'

I believe the fans over the tabloids and I can see why they would let out sounds of disappointment over MJ not performing. Think about what sound would come out of your mouth if you paid all that money thinking Michael was going to perform and it was announced he wasn't. We're talking about someone you love and admire. Would an instant 'Boooo!" escape from your mouth or would it be more like an "Aww!" My initial reaction would be a great big 'Awwww!' of sheer disappointment and I can see how in unison that could be construed as 'booing'.No way would people who 30 seconds prior gave Michael a standing ovation, turn within the blink of an eye and boo him! What's more if they HAD actually booed him there'd be no reason for fans to deny it. They'd say, yeah we we're really pissed off we paid all that money and he never performed. Why would they deny it if they were genuinely pissed off? More Media garbage!

That's very clumsy of those people to stay silent, they shouldn't have said he had something planned for the fans, when that clearly wasn't the case at all.

Waaaait! What are we talking about now? I see some of you referring to the family honours while others are talking about the wmas! I'm confused.
