Apparently Radar has another new nonsense about Lisa today (read it on another forum). They now claim she is selling Elvis memorabilia because she is broke. LOL. Sure, sure, she is. They should come up with something more believable next time. I just realized it's Elvis' death anniversary soon. I guess they are doing the same with Lisa as they did with MJ in June with a series of negative articles. Of course, these are not as harmuful as the MJ ones - the target is much smaller here, but it seems to be the same game. Radar became so disgusting since those National Enquirer "journalists" took over.

Well they love her because she is Elvis''s daughter and MJ''s ex wife......with a history of substance abuse. A triple dream come true for tabloid celeb stories...that literally write themselves.

It's an auction of items that were owned by a third-party collectors, Not Lisa. I see Lisa boards believe the rehab story but I'm still doubtful considering the source. Things seem normal on Priscilla Presley's and Riley's social media accounts but it's odd they haven't denied it yet since Lisa is asking for full custody and all (it doesn't mean it's true). BTW, does anyone know what are the divorce laws in California in case Lockwood remains MIA?

While it is true that Lisa amended the divorce to legal separation, it doesn't mean she had a second thought. Her lawyers made that clear the same day the media found out about it. Divorces take around 6 months or more anyway (even when there's agreement on everything). With legal separation you can later convert it to divorce without having to wait more time.

California law allows you to convert your legal separation to a divorce after your separation is final or at any point during the legal process. Either spouse can file a request with the court, asking for the conversion. Although this requires additional paperwork, if you’re in a hurry to get your divorce moving along but have not established residency yet, you can file for legal separation immediately. The six-month waiting period for a final divorce decree begins ticking down as you work through the legal separation procedure. When it has expired, you can file to convert your matter to a divorce.

Since Lisa's lawyer made it clear she wanted out and she doesn't want him back, my guess is that they amended it to have more time to further investigate what Lockwood might have done with her money the past few years. She's still asking for full custody and supervised visitations. But I wonder what can be done if the husband has disappeared and isn't responding to either separations or divorce.

After 10 years of marriage, Lisa Marie Presley filed for divorce from musician Michael Lockwood on June 13, citing irreconcilable differences. And though her lawyer says they've since updated the petition to instead request legal separation, it's only due to a legal formality and there's no going back for the singer.

"They're not trying to work it out and get back together," her lawyer Ronald Litz tells PEOPLE. "She's done."

As for why Presley is calling it quits, Litz says it's two-fold, having to do with the couple's finances and their kids. "He apparently was in charge of her assets throughout the marriage and didn't do what he should have done on a fiduciary basis," Litz explains. The couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, though at one point they did draw up a postnuptial agreement. Still, the lawyer claims, "He took advantage of her."

She sold the rights of the name and image from her father but not Graceland.

Don`t know how it works with the marketing and income from Graceland, but I think the buyer is also involved there.

Lisa Marie update: Lisa hired a new hire lawyer for her separation and custody case. His name is Michael John Kretzmer and he specializes in custody cases. Apparently he's a lawyer the media invite to talk as an expert for family laws. He talked about the legal possibilities for Michael's children in 2009 and 2010.

It's in the court system. I don't know why fans read the Radar and quote it :lol:
Many lawyers in Hollywood love the spotlight but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. His comments about the Jacksons seem professional to me.

I'm sure it would not help her case to publicly talk about it. She doesn't want to share custody with Michael Lockwood and if she does have these issues, her parenting skills would be evaluated with Michael Lockwood receiving more towards the full custody. It would not be wise to hand over innocent children to an unfit parent, even if they could afford nannies.

Pain killers dependency and going to rehabs don't make people unfit parents :smilerolleyes: Especially when the father is alleged to be abusive and missing for 3 months now. Let's wait and see what will be said in court and not what Radar Online says. Then we'll be able to judge who's the unfit parent if there is one.

Agreed. Like I said before I would believe the rehab story (I don't think it makes anyone a bad person) if I saw it coming from more reliable sources, not low key tabloids that copy the first article by the Radar. If she was in rehab she was out of there pretty quickly as she was able to hire new lawyers by the end of August. Her mother and Riley keep working and flying outside of California the whole time. It doesn't look like the said father is fighting for the well being of his daughters.
