Argh I need to vent. I want to strangle a couple of my family members right now. My grandma checked out my Billie Jean shirt I was wearing today, and then preceded to call Michael "dumb and a pedophile." Ok that right there just hit the wrong button for me. So I was saying "No he's not! You haven't even done your research, you should take the time to learn about him before you go around saying things like that!" But my dad was agreeing with her, and I said "Have you seen his interviews, his private home movies?" And again I said they should take the time to learn about him first and then maybe they'd reevaluate their opinions. But my grandma is like, "ok, but you can't deny that he was charged." "Well, yeah, but innocent until proven guilty! It's like he said in one of his songs (referring to Tabloid Junkie) 'just because you read it in a magazine, or see it on a TV screen doesn't make it factual." Then my dad's like, "Well, that's his side of the story." WTF?

My dad has also been calling me a fanatic and he keeps on telling me "you didn't like him before he died." That's so not true. Arghhh! My mom did jump in though and said "yeah she did, I think she likes him because I think she gets him. And because..." I said, "because he's like a big kid."

I'm just glad my mom likes Michael. I don't know how I could live with a family of haters. I also thought of a lot of other things to say back to them, but of course I didn't think of them until after the fact. So to them I have to say

My Dad and friends tell me the same thing. They tell me "You didn't even know he existed until he died." I tell that yes I did but all I saw were photos that put him in a horrible light.
