Questions for MJJC Staff...

Is there a way for the fanclubs to work together in helping the fans that may be unable to reschedule flights? For instance, can the various fanclubs check with their members to see if some of their members are willing to swap concert tickets?

If there are some fans that can no longer go to the mid July shows for personal reasons, maybe some of the fans that have been moved to March can swap tickets with them. There may not be many that are willing to swap, but some fans may luck out.

Since MJ's fan base does consist of people that often help each other, we may be able to get this to work. Just gotta see if some can swap tickets that are close to flight dates that cannot be changed or refunded. As for seating at the O2, if some seats are not as close as what they had, at least they will be at the O2 around their travel date.

What do you think? Do you think it's worth a try?

good idea, I'm trying to see if I can find tickets to the 13th. - If I can rebook hotels and trains and make it back on time for my flight.

I just got off the phone with Aerlingus.. I can't get my money back for the flights but I can get the taxes refunded (-20euro admin fee)

With regards to changing flights.. I'd check how much it costs for a new flight first.. I was about to change my flights(from July 14-15th to July 16-17th) and it would cost practically the same as a new flight so I just booked a new flight and called Aerlingus to cancel the old ticket..

Guys, I have staff updating the buy/sell/trade/search thread in the This Is It section so that it will have everyone's latest info accurately displayed on it and assist in finding tickets you all can use

Just to let everyone know, Viagogo still has good tickets. For those of us traveling, it may be a cheaper option to purchase new tickets for close to the date you originally bought for and going then rather than making another trip for the rescheduled date. You can always sell your tickets later on on Viagogo for close to the same price you bought for. I think that is fair.

If many of you are going to be using public transportation to get around in London during the concert series, and want to get a head start on planning how you will get to and from the O2 Arena, you may want to visit this web site called "Transport for London."

Reminder: North Greenwich, on the Jubilee line, is the tube that leads to the O2 Arena. There's a chance this tube will be closed for upgrade work during the summer weekends. If you are attending a weekend concert, and planning to use the Jubilee line, be prepared to also use an alternate form of transportation to get to the O2 Arena from the section of the tube that may be closed. From reading some of the articles about the weekend closures, it sounds like buses will transport concert goers to the O2 starting at the point where the upgrade work on the tube is being done.

So you can see which concerts will take place on the weekend, I've added the days of the week to the new schedule. The new schedule still shows when MJ is taking breaks as well.

So the highlighted dates mean the tube is closed?

Yes, I've highlighted the weekend concert dates because the upgrade work on the tube near the O2 is supposed to take place on those weekends. The work is supposed to be completed by December.

I went ahead and highlighted all of the weekend concert dates to show that eleven of them will land on the weekend. I did this just in case the tube work is not completed by December. Hopefully, the people doing the work will be done by the end of the year.

The "O2 Customer Service" account on michaeljackson.com posted this this about the Jubilee Line...

We have also been affected by some of the exxagerations and lies about our venue - including how the Jubilee Line closures will have massive affect on all the MJ dates: it's not true, there is only one date that the Jubilee Line is totally closed!

Thanks for the info, Vici. That's EXCELLENT news! And thanks for the link too!

I sent an email note to O2 Customer Service asking what date the tube will be closed. After I hear back from them I will highlight that one date in the above schedule. In the meantime, I have removed all of the highlights.

It's really good someone from the O2 opened that discussion at MichaelJackson.com.

Update...

The O2 is still trying to confirm the tube closure date. Below, is my email note to them and their response.

Subject: Question: Jubilee Line Closures / Michael Jackson Concerts

Hi,

On what date during Michael Jackson's "This Is It" concerts will the Jubilee Line be closed? Also, is it going to be closed all day or just during certain hours? The media is reporting the tube is going to be closed on multiple days.

Also, what is the best way to get to the O2 during the tube closure?

Thanks a lot.
