I couldn't believe the anti-American sentiment on the bbds board right now. It is all "don't let the Americans win, they are smug, they will probably donate their winnings (British money) to American charities". I was like woah! Someone asked why the xenophobia and the answer was that LaToya had referred to "the Europeans" several times in discussions with fellow Americans.

I watched a number of the Live feeds on youtube and saw none of that. I only saw her coach Coolio about Michelle because she thought (rightly or wrongly) that Michelle was using him as a strategy in winning and thereby harming him. I saw plenty of other discussion in there that I would be more likely to consider dishing dirt than anything LaToya said. What LaToya didn't do was jump on the bandwagon when others were gossiping.

I am kind of upset right now even though it may be only a few vocal people on the bbds forum that are creating the climate. I feel like we are entering a new cold war instead of an era of working together. I mean if people are that close to enmass group hatred.....

I'm sorry... I'm not usually like this but after finding out Michelle called LaToya a cow during her exit interview, this post in reply to someone claiming the audience didn't favor LaToya either made me feel better :

Its like the tide has turned completely!!

In the first week, everyone was raving about how sweet and lovely she is..and then she started talking about Michelle, and she's being called every name in the book. Personally, I can't see how she can win now, whereas before I thought it was a cert. If only she'd realised how it was going to look..

Its a shame. She was really turning the Jackson image around for the better and then wham!
 
I amire Latoya for standing up. michelle was trying to pull a Shilpa, the trouble is that Coolio was no jade Goody. michelle wanted to ruin a fun loving man in order to win a competion. Everyone could see what she was doing. I think latoya is aware of the game and the cruelty of it, I don't think she cared that much about winning. Good on you Latoya.

Maybe. I actually just read it as someone informed about the industry. The truth of the matter is that if she was a really good singer I think MIchael who would give her a chance anyway. He seems to be more about what is good for the music and business and doesn't have time for vendetas.

I feel bad that the tide has turned for her. I believe that fans helped fan the favorable opinion of her in the beginning. People tend to be followers. Unfortunately they have now all jumped on a different bandwagon.

Up until yesterday it always looked pretty sure she would be in the top three, if not to win. Now, if you believe the odds makers she is in a three way tie for that. I would really like to see her end in the top three. I think she deserves it.

poo. I'm so mad that things are changing!! :( lol. I think they showed ALOT of Latoya talking about Michelle and/or Ben.....they obviously showed it cause they wanted to show that she "isn't so sweet".....but geez, I was thinking 'please don't talk about it anymore'!!!!!!
oh well....I hope she 'redeems' herself :yes:
 
La Toya shouldn't have spoken as though she absolutely knew Michelle was in to Ben. Michelle said she wasn't and La Toya continuing to hold to it and talk about it as though Michelle was lying doesn't look good. You shouldn't assume things about people just because you have a hunch, especially when that person says the opposite. You don't know more about them then they do themselves. To me, it's obvious Michelle was hanging out with Ben simply because he was someone she knew and like any normal person, you drift towards the things which you are familiar with and which will make you comfortable. It does no good to fane the flames of a rumor which has no supporting evidence, especially when that rumor upsets someone as much as it did Michelle. La Toya is super sweet and I hope that the public doesn't turn against her, but that was kind of a stupid move on her part.

Have to agree with you on that.You would think that a Jackson above anyone else would not gossip after hearing time and time again they didn't have them feelings for each other.It's a shame cause LaToya does seem like a much much nicer person than i think anyone gave her credit for.

She is now in fourth position, Ulrika has overtaken her, unbelievable after she has moaned all the way through.

But.... if all the Jackson fans who can vote do vote, she could win. Non Jackson fans don't realise just how many of us there are, so lets at least give her one vote, even if you think she won't win.

Michelle is being really nasty about her, and ignoring the fact that most of the others talked about her as well.

I don't think latoya cares about winning. She was at a diadvatage anyway because she is American. She told the truth about Michaelle and she was not the only one who said it.
Michelle was trying to destroy Cooolio in order to win. latoya saw it and warned Coolio, and while she did that she cleverly warned the public as well. The media ia angry with latoya because she outed them too. They wanted a villain like they had Jade, Latoya broke their backs.
 
michelle was an ....i cant say. if she was so concerned her boyfriend would assume she was with ben in the bbh then she wouldnt have always gathered around ben all the time. instead she blamed coolio for making the world assume she was with ben. yet she was around him all the freakin time. and on top of that she kept saying she thought ben reminded her of her ex husband more than once. wouldnt she be attracted to someone she thought of as a husband?? ex or not...ahhhh. if you watch any reality shows if you are around someone so much..the cameras would make it seem like they are together (not this season though) but i would think michelle might assume this but instead only blamed coolio. coolio may have gotten annoying after awhile and he can act childish like michelle. but for michelle to not look at herself for once. whatevr. even the letter she got from her bf/family said she was making thing out of nothing. but she continued to think otherwise!! omg besides..shes the one who said he reminded her of an ex lover. not a friend a lover. coolio and latoya were not the only ones assuming they liked each other. the girl cryed too much. a 29 y old girl crys one second and jumps around like a kid the next second. its a game to her or she needs to act her age. maybe the others should have let the subject go. but after a while when michelle always had to mention how shy latoya was. guess what michelle..shy people dont like being called out that they are shy. thats so annoying. made me think that it was time to boot her out. and if you want latoya to win wouldnt you boot out the people like michelle were not talking to latoya much. the guys were much kinder to latoya.

i wish i could vote for latoya. terry was funny..i think hes cool to win. ulrika doesnt care to win and tommy, ben are boring same as lucy and michelle were boring or annyoing.
 
You guys I think we all need to vote at least 2 or 3 times each if she's to stand a chance. Let's face it, the rest are undeserving. Coolio is rude and arrogant, Terry is smug and annoying, Verne is a nasty man etc. Tommy and Ben seem like decent guys, but people wont vote for them.

Ulrika does seem quite controlling, but i dont think she deserves all the abuse the others pile on her.

Do you think we should start a main thread on the main forum so more MJ fans will vote? There's a lot of us..maybe we could do it?
 
ive never really thought toy would win. i was expecting top 3 with the winner being either vern or terry. i still expect that. i think vern will win. hes been very funny at time and i think ppl will view him as the cute midget (however un P.C that is) so its gonna be to his adavantage.

one thing that was mentioned days ago was toy mentioning Yul Brynner and saying that he used to come around all the time for dinner. i presume she ment hayvernhurst and was good friends with the family
