TMZ has learned Katherine Jackson and Michael Jackson's three kids will not be in L.A. to commemorate the one-year anniversary of MJ's death.

Sources connected with the family tell TMZ the gang will be at Michael's birthplace -- Gary, Indiana -- where they will observe the day.

We're told Katherine is set on Gary because she feels it is a "family point of connection" -- and it's just too crazy in L.A.

Our sources say Katherine, Prince, Paris, and Blanket will keep things private with relatives and friends in Gary.

TMZ is reporting saying that Katherine and the kids will be going to Gary for the anniversary of Michaels death. I am hoping for the kdis it is true. They hopefully can go see their father before or after when all the fans aren't there. This way they will be out of all the craziness in LA.

They should be able to visit their father without disturbances.

i am just hoping that they are not going to attend that fan convention. otherwise it is good idea.
 
Why are sources connected to the family telling TMZ Katherine's business anyway? is nothing private anymore? and you can bet TMZ will have their 'reporters' there in gary to catch some footage.
 
I hope its true. Some people may be going to Gary but most fans are going to FL. Its going to be crazy and the kids need some quiet to remember their day. Its a hard day for us so I can only imagine how they must be feeling right now as it approaches so quickly. They need to be away from the craziness. They are in my heart.
 
Smart move, it's been way to crazy in LA lately. I do hope they get the chance to visit FL before the go. Whatever their plans are I am certain MJ & mj3's kids will get to visit.
 
randy talking again? time will tell. i hope they arent in L.A as its gonna be a circus created by randy telling every tabloid going what the "plans" are for that day. bottom line sources need to shut up and stop making money off the kids.
 
who the hell is that family insider ? i want to slap tmz and that so called insider for telling where the kids are gonna be .how they are going to get privacy on that day while tmz telling whole world ?

Foreign journalists are flocking to Michael Jackson's hometown in anticipation of the first anniversary of his death.

Reporters from Norway and Denmark were in Gary this week, and city officials say they expect more as the June 25 anniversary of the King of Pop's death approaches.

Danish journalist David Trads says Jackson, Elvis Presley and the Beatles are the most famous foreign singers in Denmark. He says fans may be interested in details of a proposed Jackson Family Museum and Cultural Center, as well as events tied to the anniversary.

Gary spokeswoman LaLosa Burns says the city expects thousands of visitors to Jackson's boyhood home. She says a prayer vigil is planned for the evening of June 25 at the tiny house.

If Katherine would go, sure, if she can handle it. The kids should be able let out all emotions in privacy were no "insider" talks to TMZ and were no camera is pointed at their faces, so that hoax people can ridicule the children once more for "not crying enough." Or whoever else feels compelled to scrutinize the children. But, I hope for everyone's sake we don't get pictures of them that day.

I hope for their sake that's a "decoy" and they will simply be somewhere in peace and quiet.

Well, maybe they will say to Gary is a ploy to dribble the press. Fact that the press around the world will be there too. Maybe they go somewhere else no one will know. Let's see....

It's a pity the kids won't be at their Dad's resting place (if it's true). They deserve it more than anyone else, maybe their uncle should think twice next time before he opens his mouth. And I don't think Gary think will be more peaceful than Forest Lawn. What would they do there anyway?

Gary, IN -- Journalist from all over the world are headed to Gary, Indiana for the one-year anniversary, June 25, death of pop star Michael Jackson.
In a TMZ report, sources said Katherine Jackson, and his three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket will be in town for what is suppose to be a "private" ceremony with family and friends.

A prayer vigil is planned at Jackson's small childhood home. The city will try to accommodate Jackson's fans. Mayor Ruby Jack Clay is working to clean the city for the large influx of visitors.

Michael Jackson's family has a proposed Jackson Family Museum and Cultural Center is the works. The Chicago Tribune reports the Jackson family acquired 300 acres from the city of Gary on June 2, 2010, for an estimated $300 million project to honor the Michael Jackson and his family.

The project includes: a Jackson family museum, performing arts center, hotel, retail, restaurants, residential units and golf course. The project would be paid for by the Jackson Family Foundation and private investors, not by taxpayers, official said according to The Chicago Tribune.

Not sure if that a ploy to get Gary & the "museum" some much needed attention. Otherwise, what is the purpose of "leaking" a private even a full week ahead of time?

MJ had ZERO link to Gary as an adult...I guess we should all keep the kids in our prayers on the eve of the passing of their daddy.

They loved/love their daddy. I pray he continues protecting them against conniving relatives

agree! and I think MJ wouldn't be happy to be linked to that underdeveloped place which he'd no link since he was teenager.
 
I hope they won't be in Gary either.. They will need peace and quiet this day more than ever...
 
It won't do the kids any harm to see where there Dad, uncles and aunts grew up though will it, they might want to see where he grew up :D

This could be a clever trick though, to make the press go to Gary, while they stay in LA to go to FL or something who knows, I just hope they can do it in peace :pray:
