Jermaine singing MJ and The jacksons songs in Paris

I really do feel for the Jackson family. They'll always be compared to Michael (obviously) - you just can't help but want to take Jermaine aside and tell him to accept who he is and be himself!!

it's not really like that, it is not obvious for people to compare them to Michael. the problem is Jermaine is doing everything he can to be compared to Michael - he dresses like him, he sings his songs, he tries to perform Michael's dance moves... It's his own fault that he's being compared to Michael and totally loses in that comparison.

No one compares Tito, or Jackie, or Marlon, to Michael. Only Jermaine. Because he is bringing it on himself.
 
Remember at the 30th Anniversary Jermaine wanted him and his brothers to perform Lets Get Serious? Well now 10 years later it seems like he is doing the exact opposite. Now is the time when he should be performing his own songs!

And he's right. He was doing a tribute to Michael, HIS BROTHER! Oh how dare he!

People on here are filled with so much hate they can't see straight. Even if Jermaine didn't have any Michael-esque clothes on, even if he didn't sing any of Michael's songs--but just his songs or Jackson 5 songs, there would STILL be hateful mess hurled at him.

No need for anyone to take offense and deny that because it's the truth.
 
Surely there are better ways to remember Michael than that mess of a performance.

Why does doing a tribute to his brother need to ALWAYS find Jermaine singing Michael's songs?

In my opinion, a tribute would be MORE touching if Jermaine Jackson wrote and performed a song he produced directly to and for his brother. At the same time, it "could possibly" show Jermaine's talents on his OWN merits.

No need for anyone to take offense, but in my opinion, Jermaine Jackson WANTS TO BE Michael Jackson and therein lies his problem and that's the truth!

The "folks" he is trying to impress are not going to take him seriously as long as he continues to wear those black pants with the strips down the side, while doing that "funky chicken" dance. Real talk!

Jermaine can sing his brother's songs if he wants to. I just don't understand the unreasonableness up in here!

I am sad, bitter and very angry over Michael's death that should not have happened; BUT I'm not going to misplace my feelings on his family. THE JACKSONS were not the oneS who killed Michael.

Yeah the actions and words of some of them since Michael's death made me cringe and I expressed it as such. But the constant rudeness and nick-picking toward Michael's family is crazy. They get raked over the coals for just getting out their front doors. Good grief!

i honestly think jermine should stick ro songs that fit his vocal range or at least get a lve band to fit his vocals i mean you can do better than mj karoke

Yes. It's the upspoken rule here of the 'chosen few': You CAN'T love Michael Jackson AND express ANYTHING nice about his family. And don't think of defending them or showng ANY kind of regard for them. You're labeled a Jackson ***-kisser, among other things. Look at how I just got responded.

Don't let them get to you. If you have something to say--even if you want to say anything remotely good about Michael's family--you post it. And speak your mind. Don't let the 'chosen few' intimidate you nor make you feel wrong. I say what's on my mind and I don't care if certain ones don't like it or not. That's how you have to be. They don't rule anyone.

no one is critisizing Jackie, or Tito, or Marlon, who are also a part of the Jackson family. People are judged by their actions, so those who do questionable things are being discussed and critisized and those who don't aren't. It's simple.

Like I said before, some of the members I have expressed my feelings towards some of the family members who have said and done some cringe-worthy things since Michael died. BUT I don't make it a constant nauseating theme to nitpick EVERYTHING they do. Some on here just pick apart any and everything just to be negative towards them regardless---even if it does not have ANYTHING to do with the case. Even if they didn't say anything remotely bad about Michael. Jermaine, whether people
liked his performance or not, was paying tribute to his brother. THAT's HIS BROTHER! What is the crime in that--except for the fact, he's one of those 'marked' Jacksons?
 
I decided to watch it and he is no Michael but it's not the worst thing I have ever seen. It made me laugh at certain parts. I know Jermaine isn't popular but the one thing I will give him is that when he speaks of Michael in public it's positive and you see Michael as a strong person. He doesn't make Michael look weak like some others in the family does.
 
Personally, I always wonder if Jermaine could at least sing the Jackson's songs, since he wasn't part of that group. That performance of Can You Feel It answered that questioned once and for all. How did he mess up Randy's part of the song? Randy is no vocalist and Jermaine should had been able to at least sing that part. His version of Scream made me want to scream. It didn't help that the tried to add Michael's vocal tics.

The dancing was so bad it was good. My father and I had a good laugh. Jermaine needs to be told once and for all that he can't dance. Those moves wouldn't even classify him as a backup dancer. Also, he needs to stop raiding Michael's closet. Those pants did him no favors.

Btw, what is up with the audience. I mean, they couldn't be that impress with what they saw.

In the words of Ginvid, going back to Jerm's performance, ... I'm still trying to search for his latest IIFA performance, video so far, I wasn't lucky, I wonder if it was anything like this extraordinary performance?

Just to back Ginvid up here. Its ridiculas we have to continuosly clean these threads that are being derailed by
off topic discussions and off topic hateful attacks on the Jacksons or members posting here. Also The personal
attacks on members who support the Jacksons is going to STOP.

We are now reviewing the posts and are going to impliment the policy we already have in place. We have warned, asked, pleaded and it is ignored. Some of you are taunting for action to be taken against you. This is going to stop becuase you are no longer going to be able to post in the 2300 forum and it doesnt matter how long you have been here. So please choose your words carefully when replying to others and dont derail these threads to discuss your off topic views about the Jacksons.

Please review the rules and guidelines for 2300 again to make sure you understand

Ok Back to the Topic _ Jermaines performance here

I dont think Jermaine is doing MJ any justice in his performance . He should stick with his own songs
or Jackson songs and leave Michael songs alone. He doesnt have the vocal range or key to sing them.
This was not a good performance. at all. I know he wants to tribute his brother but if he does he really
needs to find a song he can do some justice to. and stop dressing to look like MJ (that irks me) he cant
pull that off .

I saw this video early during the week. I still think is funny! LMAO right now...again. Jermaine needs to stop...oh please stop. If you want to do a tribute to your brother then choose from your own catalog or better yet write a new song for your brother. Do not and I repeat do not try to sing Michael's songs. It doesn't matter if you are related to him you don't have the vocals or the moves to sing or dance like Mike. Enough already! Why isn't he singing his own songs. Jermaine you have your own catalog which isn't bad. Let's get serious is one of my fave from your catalog. You have enough to put on a performance so there is no need to sing Mike's songs. Jermaine, this is embarrassing! Just stick to being Jermaine!
 
every body is trying to impersonate Michael, So what's wrong with his brother? If Michael was my brother i would , after all Michael was the Best.
