"I didn't change my name," Jackson told a press conference in Paris when asked about reports he petitioned a US court last week to let him tweak the spelling of his famous surname to "Jermaine Jacksun".

"I just changed one letter because I love the sun. The sound is the same," he explained,
"It is still 'Jackson', it is just J-a-c-k-s-u-n, but that's for me personally", he added saying he had had the pseudonym registered with a lawyer.

"In the business my last name will always remain J-a-c-k-s-o-n."

It wouldn't surprise me as she ties his shoe laces for him.

The whole situation kind of reminds me of his time with Margaret Maldonado, she too did everything for him.
Jermaine got his name as producer The Jackson's An American Dream, but it was Margaret who did the job.
 
Bubs all I can say is that some men like their women catering to them, and some women like to cater to their men. Therefore, Jermaine and Halima deserve each other--she likes to do things for him. You can tell by looking at the reality show. Jermaine, it seems, like a woman to take care of his needs. So be it. If it makes them happy and no one gets hurt, then I guess it is peachy. It is a pity though that Michael never found a woman who knew how to take care of him. Jermaine is very lucky, I guess.....

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jermaine Jackson has a new, brighter surname — Jacksun.
A Los Angeles judge approved the change to singer's name Friday.
The 58-year-old, who shared lead singing duties with his younger brother Michael in the Jackson 5, did not appear in court.
He sought the name change for "artistic reasons" and says it has nothing to do with a recent rift in his family over the care of Michael Jackson's children and family matriarch Katherine Jackson.
His attorney Bret D. Lewis says Jacksun is in Europe performing with his brothers and told him that he was sure it was "a sunny day in California."
Lewis says he doesn't know whether Jacksun will elaborate on the creative reasons for the change.

Artistic reasons? I guess the billing might now say: Jackson brothers AND Jermaine Jacksun.

The Jackson 5 member and older brother of pop stars Michael and Janet Jackson filed a petition to change his name in Los Angeles Superior Court in November 2012. The change became official on Wednesday after a hearing, a court spokeswoman said.
The 58-year-old singer, who is on tour in Europe with his three surviving brothers, Jackie, Marlon and Tito, did not attend.
"If Prince and P Diddy can do it, why can't and shouldn't Jermaine?" Jacksun's attorney, Bret D. Lewis, said when the petition originally was filed.
Jermaine Jackson unofficially adopted the name Mohammad Abdul Aziz after converting to Islam in 1989.

Bubs can we have that image you made before with the sun after the name. It will be fitting to put it in now since the name is official. We can also use the "Jack" found in the Jack in the Box toy & then add the sun after the "Jack." Ta Ta!!

Yes,but if he does a pic search for his last name now,he'll see his own face everywhere.I'm sure that must be a new experience with which he must feel pretty satisfied.:giggle:
 
My mom told me about this, but I didn't think it was true. I guess it is. Shame shame Jermaine!
