Janet would consider remaking one of michael's songs

People seem to get so offensive.

Why shouldn't she be able to make one if she wants to (I'm betting she wont). Remakes are not always great (WBSS with Akon rings a bell for me) but they are not always terrible either. I would be perfectly fine with her bringing an MJ song back into the public's mind and to give it new life. Especially if she did a track that is not well known outside of people like us.

By the way, Mariah Carey's version of "I'll Be There" is amazing. :)

why do you automatically think people are getting offended if they don't want an MJ song remade? they just don't want it remade. that has nothing to do with being offended. disagreement doesn't automatically mean 'offended'. we just feel differently about the song, than you do.:) by the way, this 'not well known outside of us' theory is way overrated. Michael has done so rediculously well for himself, that that doesn't even matter.

man..i loved MJ's duet with Akon. MJ was in on that, so i think he had everything to do with the magic of that.

Honestly I don't want anyone to remake Michael's songs. This is nothing against anyone but I will always prefer hearing Michael sing those songs.
 
twinklEE I respect your opinion but no way does Janet have a weak voice, look at Again, Nasty and even her VMA tribute all of these are stronger than her normal songs, Janet is versitile, her voice changes depending on the song thats whats good about her !!

This is so true. I will continue to hate any rendition of TLIML if it's not done by Mike.
 
It honestly doesnt bother me if someone remakes MJ songs. He was asked about it and he said it was an honor/flattering, or something to that effect. Its impossible to sounds like MJ, and most artists are going to butcher it, but MJ is classic, and his beats always get the party started. You're bound to get a hit using his stuff.
 
Janet don't touch Michael's songs.. you've spent mostly all your career distancing yourself from your Brother... now you want to ride his legacy..

I don't even think she wants to ride his legacy. The interviewer asked her a question and she answered, I don't see the problem with his sister covering or remixing one song when strangers do it all the time.
