Janet Love has learnt that Janet will perform on the X Factor in the UK on 6th December. Following numerous internet rumours, Janet Love has spoken to a senior source at ITV who has confirmed to us that the performance is definitely scheduled.
Bosses are currently trying to persuade Janet to take on a role in mentoring the acts on top of her performance.
Janet has previously met X Factor judge Simon Cowell when she hosted Saturday Night Live. Other judges on the show are Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh. The show’s creative director, Brian Friedman, has danced for Janet on numerous occasions and spoke to Janet Love last week at the premiere of Michael Jackson film This Is It.
Other acts on this series of X Factor include Whitney Houston, Shakira, JLS, Alexandra Burke, Bon Jovi and Robbie Williams.
Janet is already confirmed to perform at Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball at the O2 Arena on the same day. Janet is also in talks to perform at London nightclub Heaven’s G-A-Y on 5th December, although the performance has yet to be finalised.
 
It'll be great if she does, I'll definitely tune in. She'd be a great mentor as she's been famous since she was little and has been through the bad and the good.
 
That'd be pretty cool. I don't know how they'll get any 'mentoring' done though, if it was me I wouldn't be able to stop asking questions about Michael LOL.

A little off-topic but... What if J&E are still in for MJ week?! :bugeyed
 
MJ tribute? Again? That doesn't sound like something Janet would do.....

I hope there is an MJ week this year? Do you know for sure?
 
well i guess they cant keep going with the mj rumours anymore so move onto the next best thing
 
viewers. he uses mj when it suits him other times hed would talk crap about him
 
You Are Not Alone is being performed next week and they haven't announced the theme yet. I can't see Cowell not doing an MJ week-all he's goverened by is money and ratings as evidenced by tonight's incident!

I'd love it if Janet performed on the x factor. I dnt think they are talking about a tribute, just her promoting her new song/album.

I've never ever heard anything about simon talking crap about michael jackson. he always seems very positive about him..he uses his songs all the time in britains got talent, and there are always plenty acts who use mj songs on britains got talkent and on x factor.. this was BEFORE mj died... and he even defended one of mjs songs when cheryl said 'silly song choice'. He's also highlighting mjs charity work which i think is a good thing.

was simon fuller (cowell's buisness assosiate) something to do with the tour? i heard rumours about cowell to do with a rumoured mj album in the past and i know simon cowell works in a company thats part of the Sony 'family'.

it would be amazing if janet was on x factor.

I saw that too and I was like "they are wearing MJ tops"!! :D
 
Jedward wearing MJ tops=WIN!!!!! I hope that they mention something about MJ before they sing the song this weekend. X Factor needs to give MJ some form of tribute.

WIN! :) Aww I really hope they do some sort of MJ tribute thing too.
Even a Michael Jackson video like they do for all the celeb guests that shows all his achievements etc. There had better be an MJ week this year..?
 
It's the charity song this weekend... I know it all goes to GOSH but I am really not looking forward to this...

No one should sing it but Michael (and R Kelly I guess, seeing as he wrote it).

That's the same t-shirt I have. Liking all the X Factor contestants with their MJ t-shirts. A few words about Michael before they do their performance of YANA would be very apt. He inspires so many people and its meant to be a music talent show-pay the man some respect!

No probs, its only £20 and the quality is amazing. Plus it was about time I replaced my old MJ t-shirt which had faded to oblivion due to having bought it in 2004 and the constant wearing and washing!

I hope there is an MJ week this year. It would make sense as that means they can do their tributes to Michael, seeing they didnt even mention him lastnite with the charity single.
I really hope the bit about Janet appearing is true, that would be awesome! I dont think she would do a tribute to Michael though, shes got her greatest hits out soon if not not already so she'll probably do something from that or something new to promote herself. I do hope they have a Michael video though like one of you mentioned, that would be great.
Im gonna miss the 6th dec results show though, cos im in London that day seeing exhibition. I hope i bump into Janet in London- haha very unlikely! :) Where are the studios? hehe

Janet Jackson and Lady GaGa will perform on The X Factor next month.

The 'Make Me' singer is to mark her only UK television performance of 2009 with the appearance, following the release of her latest compilation The Best.

GaGa will sing new single 'Bad Romance' for the first time ever on UK TV. The track is currently at number eight in the singles chart.

Last weekend's live performances from Mariah Carey and Susan Boyle drew 14.3 million viewers.

GaGa and Jackson's X Factor appearance will air on Sunday, December 6 on ITV1.
