idk of her voice sounding weak in this one, she did have some good upbeat songs in the past as together again or doesn't matter, all 4 u, someone to call my lover, she was never a singer but sounded alright when the engineers worked on the track but idk nowadays its just more obvious to me that the voice is really lacking :no:
 
Am I the only one who think she sounds a little like Michael in some parts? or maybe everything reminds me of him..
 
If I had heard this song without knowing it was Janet, I'd say there are little parts of it, the inflection or don't know what you call it actually, but I would hear a bit of Michael in it and be surprised.

I'm not musically trained, so not sure just what words to use to describe the tone, inflection, whatever, but it's like listening to a song that would bring to mind Michael for me. Guess not so surprising as they are siblings, possibly certain things even as unique as one's voice can have similarities to varying degrees amongst family members?

I agree. The melody starts to remind me of "Again", but then veers off and... meh. "Make Me" [off of her Number Ones album] grew on me after a couple of listens. This track, no.

This song does nothing for me. To be honest, it's a little boring, in my opinion. I was hoping for another "All For U" type joint. Now THAT was my song!

Its a beautiful song.

It fits fits perfectly with the movie. A song like all for you wouldn't.

But i Reckon we will have another Janet club banger when she comes out with a new album.. I can't wait.

Yeah, and i agree with the person who said she sounds similar to michael in some parts.
 
I like it. It doesn't exactly grab you but it's nice enough. I agree about her voice though, it sounds weaker than before, hard to hear her at times.
 
I agree with people saying she sounds like Michael in parts, I don't understand when people complain about her having a 'weak' voice or 'never being a singer' when she sounds a little like Mike, yet she is unique.
Do you all remember the VMA's, OMG here vocals were a lot stronger than the recorded version of scream (I loved it!!!), I think this proves when she wants to she can be strong, but most of her songs suit the softer quieter voice
 
Janet & her team have been (not so quietly) pushing for this song to be nominated for an Oscar....I know the Golden Globes noms came out during the Holidays, has she received a nomination?

GG are precursors to the Oscars.

I noticed the same thing. There are a couple of moments ine the song where her voice reminds me of Michael's. It's a nice song, not spectacular IMO, but I could give it a few more listens.
