yeah Jermaine failed twice at putting a tribute together, the first location and date was announced for Vienna because "Michael loved castles" then the location and date moved, and it was supposed to happen in London cuz I guess "there are even more beautiful castles in London" LOL!. Anyways, nothing happened in London either, and eventually it was "postponed" i.e. cancelled.

those events are at Wales Millennium Centre , I'm assuming the stadium is different than the centre

and it's an october date. in europe and uk it's written as first the day then the month. so 8.10 will be 8th october.

edit: definitely 2 different places

all of them. they can cover as much as Michael Jackson songs they want.

the thing is every event venue (or a bar etc) pays licensing fees to publishing rights societies (such as BMI, ASCAP etc). So performing cover songs is totally fine and do not need a separate authorization.

distribution - airing the show - might need another fee but I'm not sure if that needs authorization or not
 
Did any of the "entertainment" programs show up to cover this travesty?

Aside from a bunch of "picture takers" it appears that this Press Conference was largely ignored, in my opinion.

I checked the Chicago SunTimes newspaper today and there wasn't one word about this and usually the columnists are quick to talk about Michael.
 
What an absolute joke. Sorry, but the family need to spend more time building bridges with each other and supporting each other than this crazy foolishness. It's painful to watch from the outside, let alone what it must be like to be a part of it. Stop trying to make money, and build bridges. Has this all not taught them anything?

But it's Michael that ends up taking the wrap...SO WRONG. I'm so angry, and frustrated. This really just takes the biscuit.
 
There were very few media online which talked about it. And all seemed to have focused on the disagreement in the family, after Randy & Jermaine's statement.
 
Alot of fans seem to have alot of disrespect for MJ's family. I wonder how he would feel if he could see some of these posts?

I wouldn't call it "disrespect," I would call it DISAPPOINTMENT.

Disappointment in their behaviour and their actions since Michael passed away.

This latest fiasco just adds to the list of ALL the other fiascos to date.

No offense, but there is no way to justify a tribute concert being planned at the same time Murray is due in court for murdering MJ. No matter how you slice it, it's just plain wrong, in my opinion!

I never thought I'd see the day where I agreed with Jermaine and Randy but here I absolutly agree. This is an absolute joke-holding a hastily organised tribute concert with two months to spare, and in the middle of the trial. Absolutly deplorable and I for one am disgusted. I'm all for a tribute concert one day but not now. When the trial is over and when things have settled. They can throw their blatant attempt at making a quick buck and shove it. If I had the money I would be on the first plane to LA to support justice, not a three hour drive to Wales for a 'tribute'

I have just looked at the tribute website and from the looks of it if you want tickets you have to give to charity and the more money you give the more chance you have to win. Charity should come from the heart not from the fact you want to go to a concert. Also people with more money have a better chance of going.

Maybe two different partnerships were set up for different aspects of the 'business' eg booking appearances / making , selling recordings, and / or
maybe there are different partners taking different roles in each partnership.
