Was it standard VHS or S-VHS? S-VHS was introduced in the late 80s with higher than standard resolution - 560x480. Either way (VHS or S-VHS) Youtube and Vevo are technically able to reproduce the picture quality.
Was it recorded in Short Play (SP) or Long Play (LP)? It's unlikely to be Long Play given the duration of the concert but if it is, it would reduce the picture quality.

Just keep in mind that it was not originally recorded on VHS. It was transferred from U-Matic.

Yes but whatever the source, once a video is transferred to vhs, it will be vhs quality.

Yes, but the transferquality has been optimal, since it was equal to an industry release VHS; u-matic master in professional studio transferred to VHS-tape results in an optimal VHS source, different to a recording made at home from an RF-source or even direct vhs copy which holds fewer scanlines and is more prone to distortion :)

Thanks for this. However why are the other clips in the tv spot like The Way You Make Me Feel, Bad, Another Part Of Me, etc in crappy quality aswell? (when we know they are not from a VHS tape) and also the bad 25 logo is a little distorted. This tells me that the DVD will be slightly better quality.

I asked for source but nobody andwered, i've been fooled before so I wont believe until there's a reliable source. Remember the add with that supposed Adele duet?

Well it's still 2 weeks til the release date. It's still reasonable to not release it yet. (not that I don't want it right this second, though!)
