yeah, when I heard that Ellen was previewing Hollywood Tonight, I was like...oooh awesome! But I won't listen to it....Yeah...that didn't last....OMG, I can't get it out of my mind....It's funky as hell....It's perfect....

Are you for real??? HT is a nice upbeat track, nothing more, nothing less. there is nothing innovative about it.. How can one even thing of comparing it to a master peace revolutionary song like Billie Jean??? It's not even as good as DYKWYCA... The only innovative song from the album "Michael" is Much too soon...

I dunno about that, i think it's partly cause it's so fresh and we love it, when billie jean was new to me it was the only time i was ever close to tears at an uptempo track it was just that incredible, i kept saying wow over and over again. Smooth criminal, you rock my world, who is it, thriller etc. all have fantastic basslines. Hollywood tonight is very much like who is it in the emphasis on D and A minor chords based around a bassline and beatboxing. Very simple yet extreemely effective. Come time this bassline will slip down the ranks i think, but lets just enjoy it, you can't beat new MJ, it's the vocal rhythm that does it for me on this one. The snare sound is a bit yucky, it sounded better with the handclaps that were in ellen. Still it's a fantastic fantastic track and it's a great feeling when you dance to it, i really do love it

lol matty that did make me laugh he didn't put earth song out on dangerous either, the list goes on. It is a great song though, i just hope the rest of the song doesn't dissapoint it's really starting to get going when ellen cuts it off.

I never said it was innovative or revolutionary. It's just a fantastic song. Michael hasn't made a get-up-and-dance feel good song since the 80s (with the exception of YRMW).
This song is simple and makes you want to move. It's infectious, catchy and has all the elements of a hit.
DYKWYCA is good, but sounded dated. Hollywood Tonight sounds fresh and alive.

What I really like about the song is that it sounds like music that could come from "Dangerous" but he's using his smoother voice as opposed to the growly one we hear on the album. It's a really cool mix, sounds like a hit to me.

Oh, damn, I just put on headphones for the first time. This baseline is OFF THE HOOK. Sony HAS to release this song, though I'm guessing they will since they chose this song to release.
