Another steady improvement. Another few days of this and it'll be back to where it was a few days ago.

Another week on the BBC Radio1 ('C' list) and BBC Radio2 ('A' list!) playlists!

It should keep the 'interest' and 'profile' up, leading to it's release next Sunday/Monday.

This is the biggest jump in airplay in days. This could be a good sign.




Deano, the new playlist will be announced tomorrow.

So far the song has been playlisted for 2 weeks. Tomorrow we'll see what the situation is for the 3rd.

HMH fell from #12 on the UK airplay chart in week 1 to #17 in week 2.
I can see it dropping further in the 3rd week and potentially the song will be dropped by Radio1.

The playlists are discussed on a Wednesday, but they don't start from the Wednesday - at least on BBC Radio2. 'HMH' will be played for the rest of this week at least (w/c 27th November)

MICHAEL JACKSON - Hold My Hand (Duet With Akon): 13.874 (+ 1.525)


13.874 means approximately 13,874,000 people have heard the track on the radio in the last 7 days. This is called the Audience Impression (AI). This is a rolling total and so only includes data from the last week. All previous data is ignored.

+1.525 means that the amount listeners has increased by 1,525,000 people since the last update.



Deano, I just checked the sites.

Radio1 hold the playlist meeting on Wednesday afternoon and publish the new list later the same day. The playlist is effective from the next Friday.(i.e the playlist published on Wednesday 22nd November is valid from Friday 24th to Friday 3rd December).


Having looked at Radio 2s site it appears that the playlist decided on Wednesday 22nd November is effective from Monday 27th November until Monday 6th December.


Anyway, the new playlist will be decided and published this afternoon on Radio 1s website. Usually it is up on Radio2s website on a wednesday too, but not always. It's under a tab called 'see next week's playlist' or something like that. There's no tab there right now, but check this evening or tomorrow morning and it will be.

In 2 and a half days this week, BBC Radio2 have already played 'HMH' 6 times!

They have also played 'Earth Song' and 'Thriller' once each. (wink).
 
Hold My Hand has now been B listed on Radio 1. So it has gone up as it was C list last week. Great news!
 
hey hey i should check my local stations....not much of a listener of the radio anymore so it would be neat to see if its on! :)

Flopping at top 40 stations...but doing very good on urban stations

We'll see after the Oprah show & the video airs...which way it will go.

that song is not following a pattern.

I expect it to drop or stay flay on Sundays & saturdays, because most radio stations air their countdown on weekends, and as we know, HMH is not featured in many of these countdowns.

And...it's the Holiday season.

Well, good for MJ. Good for the song.

The more radio airplays, the better chance for it to become a hit.

'HMH' is now #28 on UK iTunes.

Moving up all the time. (smile)
 
Now #27 on iTunes UK Top 100.

With 'physical' sales this has to be heading for a 'top 10' at least?
