Thanks for sharing, Ape! It was certainy worth a mention. You described it in such a way that I felt I was right there, and I find it enjoyable to read stories like that. How fun that you interacted a bit with his nephews!
So you'll never know for sure if that was MJ or not...(man, that's gotta be hard)
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it (as short as it was). Anyway, I remember he was on his way to ride an indoor roller coaster. I had gone on that roller coaster, (because I had been at the right place at the right time) awhile back when they were looking for groups of people to be guinea pigs for it, before the ride was actually opened to the public. It was INCREDIBLY FAST! I remember thinking "woohoo!" but at the same time I was thinking, "my gosh this feels like it's going to fly off the track any minute." We later learned they decided based on that "experiment" to reduce the speed for the actual public. When I learned this... I was all "Oh, great to know. No problem. It was only MY LIFE!!!!" (But is was very fun when it was that fast! So when I rode it , it was MUCH faster than when MJ rode it. Haha! )
But obviously, I survived it and lived another 30 years just to be able to rub it in to him one day. So it all worked out quite well.
When I went on that ride the first time after it was open to the public I was like "Aaaah, piece of cake!"
So MJ got only cake.
Hehe.
I would love to hear more stories...great or small!
