17!! Wow, it's crazy to me that he's that age now. Beautiful tweet by him, and now this counts down the days til he's 18 and has more authority to make his own decisions with his life and how his fathers legacy is managed.

How exciting! I'm proud of who he seems to becoming!

This made me want to cry...so very touching. How wonderful that he appreciates his father so much. I hope Prince had a great birthday yesterday; it appears it made him a little nostalgic. Aww. I suppose birthdays can do that. He's obviously an awesome young man. And he is very reasonable in the way (the amount) he uses his public Twitter. :)

Prince posted a heartfelt message to late father Michael, who tragically died aged 50 in June 2009.He wrote on Twitter: 'I owe you everything you gave me everything, a chance to be the greatest and Heal the World like you. 'You gave us hope, and the ability to Keep the Faith, I was lucky enough to learn from a legend I appreciate everything thank you I love you and miss you.'He also tweeted a picture of Michael and him as a little boy, with the caption: 'Never forget the ones you've lost.'
Prince's tribute to Michael was reportedly prompted by a visit his father's old home earlier in the day.

I think the time when Prince is really going to think of his dad the most is his 18th birthday. Michael may have discussed Prince's 18th with him and talked about what they would do together.
