From the Estate: Michael Jackson/Justin Bieber Duet NOT Happening

Good.
L.A Reid thought he could use MJ to promote his artist-wannabe protégée Justin Bieber.
The reason for that is just soooo disrepectful to MJ.
 
That's a relief to hear. At this point in what is left of Bieber's career (through his own destruction) he doesn't need to be anywhere near MJ.
 
So do people not like Justin Bieber then? I mean as a person.

Personally, I've been hearing people badmouth him for years now and I've yet to see a good reason for it.

Now whether I want him on a Michael Jackson song/performance or not is a different matter, that has nothing to do with who he is as a person. He is a Michael fan and respects Michael, that was always going to be a great start.
 
I don't particuarly dislike Bieber's music. I think some of it is good, some of it is bad, and some of it is just okay. I listened to his last album (2013), and thought it was good, and I loved Believe.

But I just can't support what he does as a person with his music. A perfect example is Prince Rogers Nelson. Prince is kind of an asshat at times, but he's such a genius that I can excuse it. Bieber hasn't proven that he can be respected as a musician when he's acting like a tool, he's not that good.
 
He keeps tweeting about the remix. This is coming and I believe due to the contract, the hologram will be in a music video with him in it.

Think about it. The contract has a music video in it. Bieber had been recently shooting something involving a green screen. LA Reid recently said it's still happening and Bieber's team who run his twitter frequently tweet about it. I wouldn't be surprised at all after the song was introduced to everyone in such a grand manner with the hologram.

Message to the estate,

Not only can you keep Bieber away from any future MJ projects, you can scrap that P.O.S. hologram/impersonator too. Put all of it away along side the Cascio tracks.

As far as I know Justin is going to release a new song soon so there’ll be a video … I can be wrong but I’ve read something like that on Twitter.

Thank the lord for this, and MJ/JB 'duet' would rid me of all the enjoyment the Xscape album has brought me so far.

Any partner has to be somewhat comparable to MJ, no-one can equal, but some are at least on the same page (Timberlake, Mars, Beyonce to name three - maybe the only three).

Beiber is not only not on the same page but is in a completely different library. 100,000 miles away.

And why would I do that? Didn't they publicly say the Cascio tracks were Michael? Apologies for having deserved scepticism.

To be perfectly honest... I have no clue. I wasn't around in those days to know what the Estate said about the tracks. I've never even listened to the album. I've heard a few songs, like Hollywood Tonight and Hold My Hand, but not the entire album.

Good point! I have yet to see any legitimate quotes from a legitimate source saying that a hologram was going to be used. I swear, some people will feel a gentle breeze and call it a tornado (as with the Bieber Xscape "duet"). :lmao:

In the meantime, Jermaine was probably focusing on the TRACK, crying and thinking "It could have been ME!"

I wish the Estate or Sony did more to remove thos JB videos from Youtube. I actually hear it on the radio all the time.
