OK, so I may be able to go... I have the money for the concert ticket, and finally figured out how to pay for the airfare; not entirely sure about accomadation and the rest of the stuff but I still got from here to july for that LOL.
At this point everything depends of whether I can get or not a ticket for the show

This is pretty much how things are with me. I'll have to go by myself, unfortunately, as I don't know of anyone who can take a trip to London on such a short notice, but that's off little issue if I can get my hands on a ticket. I'll the rest fall into place after that.

The other big thing is a passport: you'll want to get that sorted ASAP if you haven't already.

I am hoping that the airlines have a sale real soon so that all of us that want to go to London can go. I would love for all his American fans to make it over there. Since the world economy is so sh*tty right now, I know the airlines will try and fill up those seats, because to fly from the US to Europe requires a big plane and have just a 100+ ppl on the plane isn't even worth gasing that plane up. Man I wish they had a MJ fan group special/deal for us. Try priceline, they allow you to name you price and usually if your price u named is within reason they will accept it and u will have flight. I know last year my cousin got a ticket to Germany for like $400+ and that was roundtrip leaving out during the summer. The airline was so desperate to fill seats they were taking anything offered.
The hotel search is nerve wrecking

I'm so confused about what to do! I'm gonna take it one step at a time. I'm gonna see if I can get a ticket first and go from there. I hope I can find cheap airfare, cause that is really my hang up. I don't think I will be able to take my kids, which makes me sad, but maybe he will add on and come to the US and they can see him here.

Have they released the dates yet... that would help with trying to plan something like this??

I think there are going to be dates in New york, and I think that the dates in Jan. and Feb. will be there or at one of the other locations that was mentioned. I was just thinking about the way they are selling tickets and then announcing more and more dates. You know how we were concerned that we would by tickets in London and spend all the money to travel and then He would announce dates here. Well I think they are doing it in a way that we buy the tickets because we want to see him and we aren't sure if there will be other locations, that way they sell a lot of tickets and they sell them fast, but then they release other dates/locations so that people have more options and could sell the tickets they bought, but they cannot return them, so those tickets are sold no matter what and they were sold quickly. Does that make any sense?? :scratch:

I was searching for flights from new york (jfk) to london for july 6 to july 13 and I couldn't find anything LOWER then $609 for roundtp. So then I searched march 16 to march 23 dates and found $439 and $451 roundtp. It seems to me that the airline will drop the prices once they need to fill seats.

Well I was wrong anyway, but what I meant though was, I bought tickets for July in London, but if he announced the dates in New York for Jan. and Feb today, I could still sell my tickets (london concert), BUT I can't return them so whoever is making money makes money, and the tickets sell out fast which is what they would want for PR. I guess it could be bad for fans who made travel arrangements quickly, but most people don't cause they want to search around for a deal. Anyway it doesn't matter now, and I don't even know if I'm explaining my thoughts right...

I noticed this too while searching, the only thing to keep in mind is that more people travel in the summer, so the rates may not drop as low as they do in the winter. I would just search around and when you find something you are happy with take it, cause you never know.

I think I may try to get tickets in February and go then, I thought it may be cheaper, but that is almost a year from know so again you never know. Good luck, it will be worth it

I think buy show ticket first then use it as support paperwork for VISA when apply for.
Michael add more show until 2010 Feb 12(at this moment post) so you have tomorrow for general sale.. thinking about it and buy it, seem people ready to fly to London no one know he will do world tour or not...

Yeah I got a good deal with Expedia, most flights were around $1800 to $2000!!!! I got the exact same flight I was looking for but under $1200.

Also decided on hostels, hotels are very expensive and I don't plan to stay there much... it's basically just to sleep so no need for fancy stuff.
