Film's not 'It' for Jackson clan

As a businessman, I don't see how he would want to spend 30M$ to create such a high tech show (3-D film, recreating the Thriller video...) ...for only 10 performances. What would be the return on his 30M$ investment? Selling t-shirts during 10 shows would not be enough to cover his expenses & make a profit

That is nonsense.

He already had a lot of money problem, investing 30M$ for 10 shows would only put him further in debt.
Micheal didn't spend a penny in this concerts. From the mansion MJ lived to dancers etc 'paid' by AEG. Everybody worked in TII were in AEG payroll.

Apparently, the family will view the first draft of the movie this week.

AmberPR, why such negativity? The money from the movie is going to the MJ's family & charity.

He hasn't spend it yet, but the money would be coming out of his revenue from the tour. you know what advance payment is?

Similar to when a record company or a movie studio advance money to produce a show or record an album...one the album or movie is out making money, they recoup their investment FIRST before the artist or producer get their cuts.

That is STANDARD practice. MJ did not have the mean to foot the bill for such a high tech show.

he did invest a big chunk of his own money in the Dangerous tour bill, and that damaged his finance, because he never finished the tour, therefore wasn't able to recoup a large portion of his investment.
