I think the norwegian guy is really cute and charismatic, even though he's not the greatest singer. He kicks butt with that violin :) And he also gets extra points from me for writing the song himself!

I wish Finland makes it to the final. Our song isn't that bad. :D

Karoliina is quite alright, she has a good voice, but Waldo...?? For crying out loud, that guy is ancient history! LOL! Of course I still wish that Finland does well in the competition.

He's from USSR, he was born in Minsk (Belorus) but have lived in Moscow
And by the way "Rybak" means "Fisher" in russian :)
 
I´m hoping for Sweden (ofcource) and our opera song but I don´t think it will win.
 
Obviously I hope the Netherlands will win,but honestly I have no idea who will win this year.. There are definetly some good songs in there..
 
Hey does anybody know when are the semifinals and the final?
 
As far as I know semifinal1 is May 12 and the final Maj 16 but I don´t know when semifinal 2 is.
 
Oh there's lots of songs I like! Switzerland might be my favourite!
Then, if we forget the performances :smilerolleyes: Turkey's song is quite good and so is Israel, Azerbaijan and Lithuania. Andorra's song is OK, too, but the singer annoys me.
Iceland's song is very beautiful and Denmark's is good, too :)
And LOL is there 2 Elvis look-a-likes? :D I like them both, though! (Belgium & Germany)

I don't like Norway's song that much. But I have to admit the singer is kinda cute, lol. He just gets points because of that :D

Reading the comments from youtube I'm not expecting huge success to Finland.. :smilerolleyes:
 
I am just watching the semi final of ES2009, the stage is awesome, Michael and Ortega should inspire !!!

The songs and the "singers" are AWFUL... OMG... absolutely pathetic!!!
 
Maaan, how come we are always so crap. That song is not going to get people's feet tapping, and that's what you need to do when some people don't understand the language. Ruddy pathetic. We only get through because we put so much money on it.

And it's not going to be the same without Terry Wogan :( I only watch it for his concise and sarcastic comments :lol:
 
I don't like Norway song that much, the violin part is the only good part, but kudos to him for writing the song completely by himself. I like Finland's song a lot, and Iceland's is awesome too. That Danish guy sounds exactly like Ronan Keating, LOL. Bosnia Herzegovina is very good, probably gonna be in the top 5. Ukraine, Greece and Turkey are gonna get a lot of point in the final.

Not really sure how Sweden will do in the final.
