:yes: This all started taking place yesterday 02.10.11 and today usa est AM - 02.11.11 In Egypt time is was around 7 something PM Mubarak stepped down and left the palace. I am happy for the people of Egypt. :angel: I could not imagine how they must feel. I see the joy on their face on my computer & tv screens.

I am very happy for the people of Egypt. I will be curious to see how this plays out in the rest of the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia.
 
^Saoudi Arabia is rich and half of the country is a member of the royal family. Only foreigners and women are exploited there, so sadly I doubt much will change.

But I'm so happy for Egypt! I can't imagine living 30 years under the same president that wants to keep you dumb and poor, it must be horrible. Hopefully the next elections will bring democratically based prosperity for Egypt and the region.

My old college roommate was from Saudi Arabia & she and her friends very much wanted change, so if I were the royal family, I would be worried.
 
^Oh, I believe many may want change, but the reigning power is stronger than in any other country in the region I'm afraid. But of course it would be great if change could be achieved here as well. But out of all dictatorial Arabic countries I'd expect it the least to truly happen in Saoudi Arabia.
 
I'm relieved for them. The ex-prime minister embarrassed himseld in front of the world Thursday. I just hope things will got well & be maintained in the right directions.

These protests remind me of Tinammen Square 20 odd yrs ago. I nice to see a happy ending so far, and it's inspirational to see people protesting and overcoming. :)

So happy for them.

I hope there will be a revolution in Iran and Saudia Arabia. Those dictators are...wow. I know politically Iran is sort of a democracy but they even control what people wear so..it's not.

Prayers their way.. I hope this time things will turn for the better... Profiteers are many, and staying on guard is something not too comfortable, but I guess this world makes some become sceptical of a lot. ...

But, again, hopefully, Egypt will be a more peaceful place now..

Hundreds of innocent people/protesters dead and injured in Libya, Egypt's West neighbor, these days... How fast and hellish man is destroying the earth...

Makes me show more gratefulness for being alive, in safety. Yet helpless and passive at hearing about people being slaughtered elsewhere like they're leprous animals, or nothing.

*prays for those unfortunates*.. but my personal faith in the restoration of humanity is almost non-existent. We're at the mercy of man. Not of God, but of man, for he's now the ruler of the earth, he's the beast. ....
 
I am keeping Libya in my prayers as well...
I was there last month (before the protests started) for a short time....these people deserve to live in freedom.

My heart goes out to the ppl in Libyia and Iran. My prayers for everyone!!!
So many victims and ppl hurt. I do pray for God giving them peace and strength for their families!

I'm wondering how Iran is always making it to keep it all that quiet... they seem to have controll over media still... everything is done under the rug.

Yes, it is spooky.. I also think it's determined by certain societies, like the rosicrucians.. Societies like that played a significant role in manipulating the history of the world, their inner workings.. Maybe that's not a popular opinion, but have been reading enough on this topic so as to think otherwise. ...

Egypt has been sadly so overshadowed by the terrible events in Japan, who, in turn, overshadowed Libya quite a bit. ... ): .. Even the Japan catastrophe was.. not a natural cause, but will not be elaborating on this here. .. It's just extremely sad, don't know what else to say. ..
