Dutch & Belgian MJ fans

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I'm so excited :D I was planning to go to London in March with my mother, but after reading here that the exhibition will be extended for a month, I asked my mother if it was possible that we go to London February 23. She's likes Michael too, so she wants to go to the exhibition too.
Now she only have to ask if she can get a week free from her job tomorrow. I really hope she can. If she can, we will go to the travel office on friday to book our trip. I'm so happy now, but also a bit affraid/ nervous that she can't get this week off. I will be glad when it's friday and we have booked, so I can order our tickets for the exhibition.

I really thought I wasn't able to see the exhibition and now it's so close :D

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

The exhebiton is magical!

But the kostumes and other is magical!

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

True after he died he said a lot of nice things.
But he was just going with the hype because suddenly everyone liked Michael.
I guess you're not familiar with the group of Stop Albert Verlinde?
They tried and are still trying to stop him from cashing in on Michaels death.
It's one thing to spread dirt about a person but it's another thing to cash in on the same person you talked nothing but dirt about when he dies.
Thijs one of the persons behind them gave an interview and he said "Je moet niet links lullen en rechts je zakken vullen" en hier ben ik het helemaal mee eens.
I don't mind the shows on tv like Move like MJ and stuff like that but Albert Verlinde shouldn't do this after all the stuff he has said.
Here is a small part of things he said in the past.

What is wrong with Albert Verlinde? He's always full of praise for Michael on RTL Boulevard (the times I've seen it, I don't watch it everyday). But look at e.g. this, a Dutch dancer who was supposed to be on This Is It talks about his experiences with Michael (I guess we all know him ;)) and everyone, including Albert, is really positive.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neHhppK9QK0

And also when Trijntje was on and they were talking about the Opus he was positive as well? I don't watch the show all the time though so I don't know everything that is said but come on, everyone made jokes about MJ (besides the fans of course) before he died and knowing Albert, he bitches about everyone lol. I don't think it's that serious. Unless he made allegations about MJ being a child molester or anything like that, that is unforgivable. But remarks about his appearance - everyone did that, doesn't necessarily make them a hater ;)

Whaaat I didn't know he said all these things  Thank God no jokes about child molestation but the ones about his appearance were really mean, esp. about his hands.. he can't help the fact that he has Vitiligo you know. No I wasn't familiar with that group but it's a good initiative. I still hope Albert just had an 'openbaring' after MJ's death like so many people but he might just be trying to cash in on his death, also like so many people. Anyway I'm glad he's not throwing dirt on MJ's name anymore, that's one thing.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Hi everyone! :waving: I'm back from London and I just had an amazing weekend! Lots of mixed emotions though! I broke down twice, once in the exhibition after the charity room and entering the room with the Neverland sign and once when the ballons were being released. It was great to meet lots of MJJC people! Though I have to admit I'm not sure if I said hello to you Theoriley? I've entered my pictures in the Fan Day thread! This morning I went back to the MJ store and bought lots of stuff. I will take some pictures of it. I also have a video but it may take awhile before I can upload it. Takes a lot of time... I will read the other messages in this tread tomorrow, off to bed now... So damn tired...

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Glad you guys had such an amazing time!
I saw your pictures in the other thread, Hocus, and it looks very Gezellig ( can't think of an English word, right now :p just out of bed :p) much like fun, I think.
I would like to see pictures of what you bought in the shop. Is there a large shop at the exhibition?

Hm, there's a lot of stuff you can buy there.
from clothings, to books, to accesoires (is that the word? lol)
because there we SOO MANY people, the shop looked smaller then it really was haha.

at one point they had to clear out the shop, because there were too many people.
people got angry, and had to get out. fortunately, i got my stuff on time :)

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I don't want to see any of them just like you said it wouldn't be a surprise anymore.
Same with the Family Dynasty, in the USA they already have seen the end of it and some on facebook talk about it and here too.
It's hard to avoid it but I just don't want to know :)
I'm just too curious!! :p  I'm watching it on YouTube! :D
Ohh why didn't I spot this thread earlier! It's always cool to chat with other Dutchies.

Ohh I had a hard time during the family dynasty today. First because I remembered how I felt when I was following the red carpet live on stream and I nearly made me cry when I saw they had a very hard time keeping thier tears in:no:

Ohh and I also don't really get it that some people where first bashing and dishing Michael and now they are like Ohh I like him, he's such a good artist, i'm a fan since he died. Before the TII concerts I still got laughed at or people tried to be funny with lame jokes i heard a zillion times over the years when I told them I'm a fan. Now sometimes it seems normal coz all of a sudden everyone seems to be a fan or atleast admit he's an amazing artist.
:waving: Hi Dudie!

I know, it's a very emotional episode. It hurts me to see some fans bashing the brothers now. It's like watching what people have been doing to Michael all over again... :(

I know where you're coming from about the new fans. But I think these past few months people have also gotten a lot of new information about Michael. I think now they discover who he really was. I know I've learned a lot of new stuff about him! I've been a fan during the Bad period. After that I became involved with people who hated him. Then the media started bashing him. Everyone in my surroundings was negative about him. I know from that point on I've kept my mouth shut about loving Michael... I know I was wrong in doing that, and I feel really guilty now. I've seen it happen on other forums you know. The people who spread the negative/hate stuff around get all the attention and the others who have another opinion just keep their mouth shut, afraid that the haters group will start bashing them.
Yeah, I know I took him for granted, too busy living my own life. I wish I could do it all over again but I can't. I'm still jumping when people start to talk to me about Michael. My alarm-bells start going off and I'm like: Ok, what's coming next??
But I'm not going to shut my mouth anymore, hell no! That's one of my reasons to join the Legacy Project team. To help out anywhere I can. Sorry for my long post... I'm still very emotional after seeing the exhibition. I hope you get my point, I'm not so good with words...

Hi Jenny! Yes, indeed it was magical!
But I just feel so empty now... :(

yeah, I was with Sils and Mrs.Music, i've seen you for a minute! ;)
Are you on one of the pictures? I'm sorry, I don't remember you right now. :( I've seen so many people saturday!

Glad you guys had such an amazing time!

I will try to take some pictures tonight and post them! Yes, there's a large shop with some amazing stuff!

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I am happy for you guys you had such a great time!

And Hocus, you're saying you're not good with words and all........
Wel, I think you are!
You are expressing how a lot of "old" fans must feel today, at least I know I do!

And Smnth, I once heard "gezellig" is a typical Dutch word and that there is no real translation for it in other languages! Maybe "cosy" comes close.

Well, thank you Charlotte! :) I just think there's a lot of people on this board who can express their feelings much better than I am...

I don't know..
I think so.. dont know where the pics are?
You can find them here: http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80807&page=135

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Whaaat I didn't know he said all these things Thank God no jokes about child molestation...

Sorry to wake you up from a dream but Albert did make jokes of that aswell. He kept telling he was guilty and where there is smoke there is fire (how weird that sounds in English..LOL). He went into discussion with people who said he was innocent. And if I'm not mistaken he even made jokes about us, the fans, a few times. Like in we don't want to know the truth etc while the gossip he was talking about was totally false.

Ohh and I don't mind that there are a lot of new MJ fans. Better late then never. It's mostly their behavior what is working on my nerves. I'm not saying every new fan is working on my nerves at all. But on the other hand I also don't like old, as in being fans for years, fans who act superior to the new fans and tell them what to do and what not to do.

A good example is one guy in my name is Michael. He was doing all high and mighty coz he had been fan for many years, was performing for many years. Thought he was the best and went like Ohh Michael called me once but I couldn't pick up the phone and he didn't leave his number. The whole attitude that guy had was just nasty in my eyes.

And last but not least. Welcome back everyone who went to London. I want to see many pics:D

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Yeah it's pretty horrible and I'm sure he said things about the molestation cases too but the fans couldn't find it, a lot of stuff isn't online.
The thing about the hands and when he says they should lock him up forever hit me too.

@ the people who were in London WELCOME BACK!!
I'm gonna watch the pictures now :)

I'm happy with that, because I can't see those statements by this man. This man who's doing a Michael tv program:mellow: To crazyness for words (this is so Dutch LOL  )

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I've seen a few dutchies on there but some are hardly active on the forum.
That chat is too quiet for a while:no: Or I'm entering at the wrong times ofcourse:scratch:

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Chatrooms are fun specially when there are a bunch of people in there.. sometimes we chat about such random things and then I think how did we get to this topic?!:hysterical: And sometimes I just want to chat about Michael with people who understand me.

I don't have much fans in my MSN anymore unfortunately.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I'm not going.. A dance party is nothing for me next to the fact I can't dance at all.

Oh, I'm not a great dancer myself lol. Especially when I wear heels, I'll probably be falling on my butt half of the time. :p
But I just love meeting new fans and just talk/dance and all of the other stuff involving Michael.:p
Hope there will be some younger people as well, I always feel like a baby.:p
