Dutch & Belgian MJ fans

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I dunno If I go. Although I do find him a good impersonator I have mixed feelings of going to some kind of concert/show of just one impersonator.

And there are a lot of MJ/Jackson events lately. In the past we only had a few a year and look how many there where since he died till now. I don't think it's a bad thing at all but what a difference.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I'm not sure about it too... Depends on who's going I guess... :D

I think people feel the need to be together in their pain and grieving, that might also be a reason that there's a lot more MJ events lately. Don't you think so?

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

O guys I'm so nervous right now. I'm going to London with my mother monday with the Eurostar, but because of the accident the trains don't ride till sunday, only limited places.
I really hope we can go monday. They advise people to extend their trip, but we can't. I think we can arrange something, maybe we go to france with the car and go with the Eurostar from there, but still it really makes me 'gespannen' en stressed.
Last year we planned to go and my mother went sick, so we had to cancel our plans and now we are all ready to go and it looks like something gets in the way again :(
( but don't get me wrong, I do think it's terrible what happened last monday) but I'm a bit sad now.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I'm going to the show of André Santisi it's not really a Jacksonevent thing is it?
We're going with the "whole" family my dad's paying :p

BTW I'm suddenly not so sure about GOTF anymore...I'm not really going with someone I'm just riding along with a few fans.
And I was just thinking this afternoon that they know a lot of people who will be there and where will that leave me??
I know nearly nobody and I'm not a very social type, like I'm not going to talk to some stranger or anything.
And I really don't want to be like a fifth wheel on the wagon you know.
I guess I have to think about it...

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I'm not really a very social type either. I'm not a person who starts a convo with a random person easily although I had some good convo's when I did sometimes. I'm to shy for that I guess. My experience is that fandays are more fun if you go with people you know or make an appointment to meet up there. Not that I didn't have fun the times I went alone (and try to find people I knew which is not always working in huge crowds which I hate) but it's different.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Yes well I talked about it with the person who I'm riding with and she told me she IS going with me and that she doesn't know anyone there either because her friends aren't going so that's comforting.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Problem solved then. And if she knew people there you could ask her to introduce you to them :) Most people don't mind that at all.
And maybe some people might walk to you and go "Are you.. ?" well atleast that happened to me a few times coz I had a picture posted somewhere. I have the idea some people check those before they go to an event.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Yes I had that with Sas on the last Jacksonevent she recognised me :)

Did you guys just see RTL Boulevard, I never watch it but my tv is still on while I'm on the computer in another room and I heard MJ music so I walked back to the living room and saw something amazing!
They showed the clothes of Billie Jean which were made for TII I love it!

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Nope I missed that.. Was it a special or did they have it in the studio? If it was some sort of special I have it's included in the TII DVD

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Oh god not that photo again...
But OMG that outfit looks so awsome! I was also wondering the same thing as the girl when I saw TII.

Ohh and a bit in dutch since I dunno some words.
En die Kwalbert.. Wat een *** zeg! Hoe hij keek toen dat meisje zei dat we al die tijd verkeerd waren voorgelicht door de media over Michael. Je ziet um denken van ja ja zal wel.

We sure are gonna look for you guys! And you have my phone number (when it's too crowded)! We're gonna have lots of fun and dance (and drink... :drunken: ) all night long! :dance_party:
(We deserve a little fun don't we? :()

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Yeah, that's RTL Boulevard, they are just talking what they think everyone wants to hear. And now acting as if they think Michael is the best now, it's sad.

Oh Samantha, almost forgot! I will cross my fingers for you that you and your mum can go to the exhibition! It will be the last week and it's amazing! Can't you take the car ferry when the train doesn't ride? We did that and it was perfect. Only thing is that you have to drive on the left in the UK... :bugeyed :D

Thank you :)

Well the thing is, I can't drive, and my mother can't either :p so my dad is willing to bring us to France and then go back home. And we thought about going with an airplane instead, but the Eurostar tickets can only be cancelled on monday, the day itself, so they don't know if there are flying tickets available then.

But we are going to try to get on those pendelbusses to france, so we just go to brussel monday, and hope we can go with the pendelbusses to lille and get on the eurostar there, and if they wont allow us on the pendelbusses (omdat er staat alleen als het noodzakelijk is, maar ik vind het redelijk noodzakelijk, en ik baal heel erg voor mn moeder ook, vorig jaar ging het al niet door en ik gun het haar zo om het nu perfect te laten zijn en dan dit weer) we try to go with the car to lille en then get on the Eurostar to london.
And if it all can't, we try to go asap with a plane, so we are on time for the exhibition. Het is alleen zo ongelooflijk balen dat het zo lastig is. Zo vaak gaan we niet op vakantie en we kijken hier zo naar uit.

I'm just back from the horses. That really did me good, alleen voel ik de spanning nu weer wat terug komen. Maargoed, het zal wel goed komen. Hoop ik :p

Re: Dutch MJ fans!
