Dutch & Belgian MJ fans

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

No bummer!!
I just came home from dinner with my parents and boyfriend, ready to watch it and then I found out this c**p! :(
I was so looking forward to it all week!
And Hocus, sorry for the late reaction, been working a lot, I (as everybody here, I guess) know exactly what you mean.......feel the same way now and then........:(
Viritual hug from me too!!

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Gonna look for a download for the last ep.

And my prediction(voorspelling?) was correct about who wins My name is Michael. Couldn't be bothered to watch the final at all yesterday though  Last week I allready said to my mom that if he's in the final he will win hahaha.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I've never watched My Name Is Michael..
But yesterday I was with the family and a couple of them were watching it..
So i saw that dude from belgium..
And I dont understand why he entered the contest in the first place since he's an impersonator.
I don't think it's fair..
but well..who am I to judge..:coffee:

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Why is it not fair for him to win? Because he's an impersonator? I think that's rubbish coz why shouldn't they sign up for a program like this? I think it's only fair for him to win actually. I mean why should a guy with zero experience win while he has years of experience and is a fan for many years and not only from after his death (I dunno wether that was the case for the others).

If this was a program of let's say Kenny Ortega, instead of Kwalbert, who wanted to make a musical about his friends life then it would have been cool if there where more impersonators who are doing this for years. But unfortunately it was Kwalberts idea.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I don't think the other fans were new fans. They said they are fans for a long time, but they just haven't impersonated Michael.
And one of them has a musicalcareer, I think he could have done it too. I liked the two other guys more. But it can be, cause I don't really like impersonators. I do like it when fans are dancing like him and stuff, but when they really want to copy him in everything, like his looks, I just don't like at anymore. Then I rather look at the real Micheal, or just dance by myself and have some fun :p
This Christoff did a good job, but although he means it good, I thought he looked a bit like a 'karikatuur' van Michael. So I think you can better be yourself, but just have the dancingspirit from Michael.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Then you should watch Move like MJ soon. There they are not looking for people who dance like MJ but who have the same dancing spirit as Michael. Well atleast that was with the UK version. It won't surprise me if they changed it a bit in the Dutch version.

As for impersonators I prefer Michael aswell but I think some of them are cool. Not all of them coz some try to hard and such.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Haha yes, of course we all prefer Michael. But I understand what you mean :p haha
Yesterday albert said something like I'm a fan ( to one of the guys). And I thought, well you are a fan of an impersonator but not of the real man :s.

I wasn't really planning on watching my name is Michael, but my mother did, so I was just too curious. But I do want to see Move like Michael.

The title Move like Michael already shows more respect. It can't be any worse the My name is Michael. Hopefully no one is going to see the show.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

They already planned a 3rd show because the card sales are going pretty well....
I thought Christof (or something like that) deserved it to win he had the correct moves and was very Michaelish :p like the way he walked during his performance and everything.
I loved it how he mentioned Michael when he had to give a comment after he won :clapping:

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I just watched episode 6 of the Dynasty.
I had to listen very very concentrated, because the sound was not good, but I think thet are gonna do this, especially after they visited Michael (which was very emotional, btw, didn't u think so?).
But is this the last episode? Because I wanna know how things go on!!

Add: Jermaine's son is nice!!! :)

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

On the site of RTL gemist you can watch episode 6 now from the Jackson family!
I can't see it, because of my mac. It stops after the commercial. Edit: O now I can see it, but not gonna watch it now. Maybe tonight.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

That's cool, thank you! :)

After watching episode 6, I thought I'd watch the 30th anniversary again, and then the part with the brothers.

It was very nice, because I feel like I know them em a little bit better then back in 2001.
I forgot what a great performer Marlon is, he really nailed it! :)

But there was something else that caught my attention too; it was the way MJ looked and behaved. It seemed to me almost as if he wasn't happy doing the show or something.
You know how he was always very intense on stage in a good way, but at that anniversary it almost looked like too intense. And I didn't see him smile once, or look one of his brothers straight in the eye (at least when the camera's were pointed at him).
It was so long ago since I've seen the show, and I never really realized this before, but it hit me just now.
I am only talking about the Jacksons-part, btw, I didn't have time to watch the rest.

How do you guys feel about this? (and sorry if this subject was already discussed before :))

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I just know Michael wasn't feeling well back then. And he wasn't happy at all about his performances. I heard he was crying after the first show. Poor Michael...

THanks for the tip! I'm at home sick, so I might watch it a bit later on.

I have a mac too by the way and when you download switch ( i think it's that one) you can watch windows movies on your mac without any problem :)

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

I just watched it and the ending was another emotional part
Too bad this was already the last episode I really enjoyed watching it.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!

Enjoyed watching it too. It was nice to get to know the brothers a little bit more. And it was very funny to watch, although sometimes sad too.

Re: Dutch MJ fans!
