The version in this post is the one and only time Michael ever sang the song. One take. He hadn't even had a chance to learn the song properly (and what an amazing job he did!).

Many thanks to Darren for sharing this story. Isn't it so cute whenever they're around MJ, many celebs turn into ordinary people, like us here? They got a lot more chances to meet him in person, but unfortunately, some had back luck, like our Darren here. Recording right across the street where Michael was, being at the same award shows, but never having the chance to meet him in person, etc.,... ah, talk about bad timing&interesting coincidences in life!
