i can imagine him being like (playfully), "look! i'm famous!" to a loved one, when presenting a cover of a magazine or book with his face on it. like, YEAH, OBVIOUSLY.

August 1994, inside MJ's trailer during the HIStory teaser shoot in Budapest, Hungary. So technichally it's HIStory era.
HIStory era as this photo is from July 16, 1996 (Royal Brunei Concert).

That was the EXACT word that I had in mind when I saw that gif. I mean, I've seen it before but not for months and months. The impact of it ... there are no words.
