Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

MY "MUTE WHO" UPDATE:

I was in Atlantic City this weekend and Michael's music was being played EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!

Walking up and down the boardwalk and you can hear Michael's music coming out of the little shops and bars. We also went to 2 different "Beach Bars," and MJ's music was in rotation. Those Beach Bars usually cater to a younger crowd, so it was great hearing MJ's music in those types of venues.

My biggest surprise was walking by "Bally's Wild Wild West Boardwalk Bar and Casino," where they played 3 MJ songs in a row. It's a western themed bar with a dance floor. It's all open, so walking by and seeing folks getting down to "Wanna Be Starting Something" was a wonderful sight for sure.
 
Hi. Sorry to be OT -but I have a question for London fans: does Smooth Radio still play MJ?

That is my fave station when I visit London and I need to know if I need to find an alternative.

I do occasionally listen to smooth radio but the times I have I haven't heard MJ but that doesn't mean they have muted him, I don't listen to it all the time so it maybe that they do but I'm missed it, I listen to my local one and they always play Michael, sorry I couldn't be more help

Kew Media Distribution has agreed further deals for its controversial Michael Jackson documentary Leaving Neverland (pictured), which it says has now sold into every territory in the world excluding China.

The Channel 4 and HBO co-production, from director Dan Reed, has said the two-parter has been picked up by networks including Discovery Nove in Italy, Network 10 in Australia, NRK in Norway, LTV in Latvia, RTL and VRT in Belgium, Movistar+ in Spain and HBO in Central Europe, Portugal and Latin America.

Other buyers include: M6 France, ProSieben and Joyn in Germany, DR in Denmark, VPRO in the Netherlands, Sweden’s SVT, M-Net in Africa, Channel One and Amedia TV in Russia.

TVNZ, Yes Israel, YLE in Finland, Fox Networks Group Asia, Front Row Filmed Entertainment in the Middle East and RUV Iceland have also acquired the show.

The doc, which has been nominated for five Emmy Awards, explores the experiences of two young boys who were each befriended by Jackson. The show features interviews with the now adult men and their families, exploring allegations of sustained exploitation and deception.

It was originally commissioned by HBO’s Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller, and Channel 4’s Tom Porter and Daniel Pearl. AMOS Pictures produced.

I've voted she knows it's a lie but tbh I don't think she cares either way, she doesn't care about anyones feelings it's all about her fame and ratings, what's she going to do when them 2 are shown to be the lying scumbags would already know they are, like I said in a different posting, I don't think she had any idea it was going to go the way it has, she probably thought it would be like all the other times they have attacked Michael and it would blow over, that's not happening this time and I'm so pleased about that

Once again, THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN.

I remember when this "situation" was first exposed and a lot of folks were saying that it would only make Michael MORE popular. Welp, with 1,127,200,908 total streaming to date and the year is not even over yet. I would have to say a lot of folks were right on the money.

P.S. From now on whenever I post in a comment section regarding MJ, I will be sure to also add his current STREAMING NUMBERS!! LOL.

Exactly. ANd this trash is media driven not public driven. And I do not believe MTV is moving MJ's name just yet. It seem that was entertainment media driven to be ASKED. Even mainstream media has now backed off. And MJ music is stilled played at weddings and events overall.

I highly doubt lisa will have anything bout michael what we dont already know but i find it funny cuz she said she wasnt gonna talk bout mj ever again after her interview with oprah in 2010

She needs money. She has went through her estate. She was married to every tom and harry in Hollywood and everywhere else, leave MJ out. Why focus on MJ. What about Nick Cage?s

Could be money related, we know what that does to people, I wish she wouldn't write a book with MJ in it, that's personal stuff that Michael would have trusted her with, she has no right telling the world, makes me very sad that celebrities feel the need to spill all about their ex partners but its even worse when it's to do with Michael cause we know how much he hated the media
