Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

I’ve been off line a few days so I’m still trying to catch up. I have concern about someone who just followed me. The page is called SavingNeverland.org. Is this a troll account? I ask because I see their first post is about MJ’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame plaque being removed. My instinct tells me this is a troll account, am I right? What have any of you discovered about this page? Should I block them? I won’t follow back.

You may have noticed an issue with embedded tweets and such, not displaying properly after all of the LN threads were moved to this new section. The issue has been fixed, but all past posts in the LN section are still affected. I'll work my way back and fix the last 30 or so pages of this thread and some of the other threads.

If you want to fix any of your own posts, you can do so by copying the code you see (and any other text), then click on Edit Post and delete everything, paste the copied text and save.

I hope that Garrison school is not going to rename the gym. We will see. People need to complain that they should not change the name.

Reed talked about this in their Billboard interview as well (the one with the boyband photoshoot) as TSCM pointed out:

Before Leaving Neverland premiered, Reed told Billboard the original plan was a 48-minute TV special on Channel 4. After the 1st round of interviews, he pitched it to HBO who backed it, whereby it became the 4 hour "event" fueled by #MeToo.

And yep, when they were done with the scam they called Oprah to back them up. And she did, of course, she stooped so low to exploit real CSA victims and use them as scenery to give a false impression of credibility where there's none.

And don't forget the last minute inclusion of LN at Sundance either.
 
It would be a very helpful and great information to know when the summer school holidays were in the year 1988 in the erea were James lived to know the dates when James joined Michael on the bad tour.
It would be interesting know how far the first possible date for James to join the Bad tour was from the time they spend in paris.

When it is very near to paris it is not very belveable that MJ would start the molestation cause as far as I remember James mention only one occasion before the bad tour were MJ and he shared a room together.

So for everyone who lives in the u.s. and can figure this out....
I would be very glad to hear from you the dates of James school holidays in 1988!

They do not care about a fan calling from China or Europe asking for the name not to be removed. Let the families and the school decide. No point in bringing more attention to this really. Got sick actually of them always in the news covering and uncovering it. The Jacksons should have told them never to use it ever again the first time it was removed. Every museum or hospital that removed him from display should never ever be allowed to profit from him or use his name again. **** the estate. Every post of me now will end with **** the estate

I think the victims were from Oprahs special she did two years ago with also many abuse survivors in the audiance.

She maybe let her team call the same people.
I don't belive this were all people who came spontoniously to the show.

Does Reed not contredict himself with the things he said in the billbord interview compare to things he said in other interviews?

There he said he interviewed Wade and James in only a few days and then they only filmed the wedding ring part months later.

In the billbord interview he said that there were a first round of interviews and then came new rounds of interviews after the thing moved to HBO.
The last version sounds to me like they didn't have included the graphic details in the first place but then decided to include the graphic details and new stories because the story at first was not convincing enough when it first had only the lenghth from only a hour!

In the first version they had only things to tell for an hour and then suddenly for four hours???
Sounds like they have invented a new script with new storys and details.

It would be interesting to know what the first version of the movie had included and what not when the estate can sucessful sue HBO and Dan Reed and he have to open up the production of LN.

I think the first version was veeery boring and then they decided to make new things up like the sex adventures all over Neverland which were not in the lawsuits.

This right here should be even more a giveaway when it goes to court. See, that the problems with LIES. You have to tell another lie to keep up with the old lie and on and on. These guys are text book liars to this. It never fails.

Michael Jackson Musical Back on Track as Creators Wrestle With Bigger Issues
“I pray that it isn’t true, and that’s all I can do,” playwright Lynn Nottage says of Leaving Neverland molestation allegations

The creators of the in-the-works Michael Jackson Broadway musical Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough have defended their decision to remain with the production in the aftermath of Leaving Neverland.
In an interview with the New York Times, Pulitzer-winning playwright Lynn Nottage and director-choreographer Christopher Wheeldon admitted that while they are troubled by the child molestation accusations against Jackson, “We’re not judge and jury.”
“Folks have to remember we’re theater artists that are examining the life of this very complicated artist. We can ask certain questions, but our job is not to answer those questions,” Nottage said.

Nottage – who drew the ire of Jackson fans when she said of James Safechuck and Wade Robson, the subjects of Leaving Neverland, “I think they were telling the truth” – reiterated that their accusations seem “very believable.”

“Do I believe [Jackson] was a pedophile? I don’t know that I can say one way or the other,” Nottage told the Times. “I don’t think any of us can say with absolute certainty, because we’ve been presented with some information, but Michael Jackson is dead, he’s not in a position to defend himself. It does hurt my heart to think about the possibility that it could be true, and I pray that it isn’t true, and that’s all I can do.”

Wheeldon added, “The recent documentary is very believable, but our position in making this show is that we’re trying to make a show that’s balanced.”
The Jackson estate didn’t restrict Nottage and Wheeldon during the creation of the show, and while the jukebox musical might touch on some of the “problematic” aspects of Jackson’s career, “the primary focus of our show has always been focusing on Michael’s creative process,” Wheeldon said.

Originally scheduled to debut on Broadway in the fall of 2019, the arrival of Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough was delayed after its Chicago preview run was canceled by the Jackson estate ostensibly due to a month-long actors strike in February; the cancellation coincided with the then-impending broadcast of Leaving Neverland. However, the musical is now back on track and eyeing a summer 2020 Broadway arrival.

Sadly many important witnesses who could defend MJ from the accusations are dead!!!
Thats why it is so mean and unfair to make this acusation 30 years after they should have happend and 10 years after the accused person passed away.

I have read in this german aricle that MJs former Body Guard Bill Bray obviously used to always share the room with MJ on the Bad tour. But he sadly died in 2005!

But this could be maybe a way to aquitted MJ from James accusations.
When the estate or the Jackson Family can find enough witnesses who can confirm that this bodyguard slept always in MJs room on the Bad tour then it is clear that no molestation from James could have happen cause these did only happen when James slept compleaty alone with MJ in a room.....

Yeah it's pretty shitty how many people that could vouch for Michael are dead. Frank Dileo, Bill Bray, Benny Collins... that makes the timing of this whole thing even worse. :(

Also, is anyone else majorly creeped out by that researcher Reed hired scouring the fan forums? Just... ugh...
 
The estate must be taking extra time preparing that statement about MJs musical being written by people who think he raped kids so as to not make it condescending and obnoxious towards fans. Yep.

They're so "disappointed" in us, they probably feel like we don't deserve a statement anymore.

Seriously though, I think they're just keeping quiet and hoping it will blow over.

Now is not the time for a musical anyway. The number one focus should be clearing Michael's name from these allegations. But hey, maybe the Estate can send out a few more Power Point presentations and we'll be all good.
 
God bless Tom Mesereau. The estate might not be doing much of anything right now, but he's really stepped up to the plate with his recent interview with John Ziegler. I doubt the mainstream media will pick up on that story, but it would be amazing if they did! It would go a long way toward clearing Michael's name.
