Sweet jesus. Story about estates responce no6 most read on the BBC news site. I guess thats why sometimes its better to not gove these people oxygen. Mind you its gonna be shown in the uk so gonna get attention anyway. Anyone know the production company behind it. Not the "paedos"at world of wonder?

I notice from headlines that the Mirror is declaring these are "new sex attack claims".

Dear God when will these people either (a) get a conscience or (b) do the right thing and report fairly???

This is all ridiculous! I can't believe it's 2019 and Michael is still going through this ish! There have to be some sort of defamation laws being broken. I think I saw someone said since the film maker is British and Britain has defamation laws, can the estate do something do to that. I find it crazy that there is nothing they can do! Argh! I'm so angry!

I think I read somewhere that defamation laws don't apply to the deceased.
But the Estate can't allow this to be shown, and neither can we.

This is the most disappointing aspect of this. It will be shown on two, two hour shows on consecutive nights on Channel 4 in the UK. So will get plenty of attention.

I’m assuming this is based on interviews with Wade and Jimmy Safechuck? If so, this is clearly a smear and an attempt by both of them to cash in and earn money because they failed with their lawsuit against the Estate.

Channel 4 showed the disgusting “Michael Jackson’s Kids” back in the day. Ofcom supported it and simply said if Michael was on trial in the UK it wouldn’t be shown.

Disgusting.

I read that too! and it makes me so mad! Though Michael is no longer with us physically to fight, we will continue to fight for him!

You’d hope not, but no doubt it’ll get plenty of publicity before it’s shown - tv commercials etc. Not sure if you’re from the UK or not, but channel 4 is one of the most watched tv channels here.

The problem as ever with all of this is that the casual observer doesn’t know the history of these allegations and the people involved, so they will just accept it as fact.

Expected this since seeing the reaction to the R Kelly doc, surprised it's this quick admittedly.

It's easy to make a quick buck out of a mega celebrity that's dead and can't defend himself.

If this is Wade and JAmes, there are plenty of things that can discredit these clowns. If they show this doc they better expose what these guys did and lost. R Kelly case is far different than Jackson and with the age of FAKE MEDIA, the media got to be careful as well.

I’m guessing this has been in the works for quite some time. Since their lawsuit failed, they’re obviously finding other ways to get money.

This is not a even-handed or pro-Jackson exposé.
It's an anti-Jackson propaganda film dressed up as a documentary.
 
You’d hope with MJ being dead that we would be spared from all of this rubbish.

He was tried and acquitted. He has been dead for nearly 10 years. Yet these people still want to flog this story. It’s disgraceful.

Unlike R Kelly, MJ is not around anymore to defend himself.

Absolutely freaking unbelievable and disgusting and during the Sundance too? That means a ton of people are gonna see this, which is horrible. And Robson? Give me a effin break! And Safechuck... can someone refresh my memory? Who is he again and what is his story? I only recall Robson and his lies.

This is absolutely rediculous.. and it pushes me off even more that we've heard of these shows that supposed to be released for years it defense of mike and no news yet this comes out of no where..

I did some reading up on Safechuck and along with Robson these are two guys that would get knocked out in court no problem if Mike was still alive, just like the other folks that accused him and they were proven by MJ's lawyer to be lying on the stand. How is this getting a doc, let alone be at Sundance? Seriously. Why did this Safechuck turn around and changed his story anyway? Was his career going down the drain just like Robson?

Unfortunately the money follows scandal. Channel 4 or others are not going to commission a show defending Mike. It’s the titilation that gets viewers and media attention.

Its sickening.

The only slightly comforting thing here is that when Wade first made his allegation, a lot of people shrugged it off because it was so preposterous and because of his past denials and defending MJ under oath.

However, the Wade lawsuit against the Estate got almost no coverage here in the UK so people watching this documentary will be seeing it from a position of ignorance and more likely to believe it, not knowing the background.

Twitter fans, being the fans that they are, discovered an address for Dan Reed who produced this film for Sundance in London. People want to organize a protest. Would this be a good place for one? Yeah im from uk. Yeah its on the main stations but its so long no non fan is gonna sit through four hours of it. Only diane dimond would!. Heck 4 hrs is crazy long for anything .ppls opinions will be set by the media headlines of course they will have no clue about the facts.

I have no idea about Safechuck and his career, but it is obvious to me that both of these guys are in desperate need of money. Easy made money, why work for it?!

Such a pitty, that a Film Festival today has gotten so low, as to showcase a totally defamatory and one-sided docu.

The problem is that the goddamn thing is gonna be four hours long. So I assume both Robson and Safechuck will be coming up with even more lies. And God knows what else, Jesus four hours is very long.

It's just unbelievable that these people just don't give up. Wtf man. I wasn't even aware of the Safechuck crap, but I assume he lost the lawsuit too, right?

That is so true. Some people really just want him to be one. They can't stand the thought that their ignorant minds had been wrong all along. It's just crazy that something like this is allowed when he's not here to defend himself. A documentary on TV is nothing special, but for this to be aired at Sundance. How trash has Sundance become really? Jesus.

This is basically like one of those trash ass books out there like the one from the Chandler family, but made into a documentary.
